As if the financial crisis was not bad enough, bookmakers William Hill report that a Wiltshire man will collect $2 million from them this week if a prediction that massive UFOs will appear October comes to pass.

Lawrence Tout has staked $2000 at odds of 1000/1 that George Bush or Gordon Brown will officially confirm the appearance of alien UFOs, after websites carried details of predicted UFO activity on October 14.

"Mr Tout's stake is the biggest UFO wager we have ever taken but he is not alone in believing the prediction that we will be visited by aliens next week, and we face a massive, 2 million dollar plus payout if it happens." said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Dozens of very influential UFO researchers and psychics have all set October 14 as the date when a massive spaceship seen by millions would show up and stay in Earth's atmosphere for more than two days.

The people who claim to be in contact with these aliens say the extra terrestrial's aim is to prove to the humans that they have brothers and sisters outside of Earth who look just like them, thus putting an end to more than 2 thousands years of religious, historical and scientific manipulation of earth governments over people.

I'm amused to see the Youtube community is absolutely pissing all over this utter joke of a "prediction" with joke video after joke video. I've also taken the time to demand answers from a couple true believers who posted videos. Only one has responded so far and their answer was (I shit you not) they were "confused" by the fact the saucer did not show.

What?! Confusion implies an expectation of success. When I flip a light switch and no lights come on, I'm momentarily confused until I realize the bulb needs replacing. That's confusion. To be confused because a mile wide flying saucer that was predicted through a chanelled message from Ashtar command did NOT appear on schedule... I have no idea how far gone you'd have to be to have a brain that dysfunctional.

One problem. All this little flap really did was to shove the whole UFO topic back in the silly box. Debunkers like McGaha must wobble with delight at this sort of farcical nonsense...

I used to merge threads til I noticed David and Gene don't seem to care about more than one thread dealing with the same topic.

I'm amazed at the level of stupidity found in many adults. If they were five years old, I could look the other way, but they aren't. Nothing I can do either. Stupid people don't know they're stupid.
