Now, I do have to respect the fact Lance was the only person to find this out, can't take that away from him. So my compliments to Lance for doing this field a service.

The Hudson Valleys UFO flap took place so his lying about his education doesn't take anything away from those sightings, in my opinion.

It is absolutely amazing that it something like that could go on this long isn't it?

This has to call into question every story Phil has told. It has to. That is the unfortunate consequence to fraud of any kind. It causes everything else from that person to called into question. Why? Because you are dealing with a confidence man.

I am stunned by this revelation and I even purchased three of his books online earlier this year. I might just sue his publisher for not checking up his on alleged education, only joking.

Phil in his books has many eyewitness accounts people who'd claimed to have seen triangles over the Hudson valley area , can we now trust his version of what the eyewitnesses told him? His own personal paranormal adventures are no longer believable because of this whatabout his alleged Saudi Arabia trip might not even happened? How can you trust him it not like he only revealed he had this alleged MIT master degree, when asked of it, he flaunted this lie, that makes even worse in my book,

That is indeed the crux of the matter, Just as in a court of law, once you are found to have told a deliberate falsehood, you are deemed an unreliable witness, that is anything you say after the lie has to be dismissed.
Having allegedly posted/published a lie as a fact, any other "facts" that he printed are suspect.

I'm somewhat saddened,or rather disappointed, by this story as it is unfolding. I always held Mr. Imbrogno in high regards and own all of his published books. Would love to hear him on the matter, but I guess that won't happen anytime soon. If one believes a lie enough, it seems to become objective truth for a person. Still waiting for a reply on his part, doubting there will be one though. He still put out some interesting ideas out there, but so did Vallée.

..and posted in the wrong topic.

Hilarious. Do you want me to move it, because i think it should stay here because of the closing sentence.

Another show has discussed this saying that it is not totally cut and dried. Maybe like Ernest, in Wilde's play, he is Worthing in the town and Bunbury in the countryside?

And this: "I'm not trying to flame here, but trying to understand. "

That is what I say when I'm about to troll someone hard.

Actually, it is what most trolls say when they do what they do - it is all very scientific now:
Guys why cast "troll" accusations against the OP here, for what seems like a minor bit of honest (if misplaced) criticism? Comments like "not trying to flame" does not automatically mark someone as a troll, and if s/he has taken Mr O'Brien's comment out of context, that's something of which the best of us have been guilty on occasion. And non-trolls say such things as well.

Not that I'm taking sides here. Not that I'm saying I couldn't be wrong in this. But I happen to believe in giving "benefit of the doubt".
