Mount Rushmore on Mars (Crop of MOC image M0203051) - Libya Montes

On April 5th, 2001 founder of Meta Research Tom Van Flandern held a press conference at the National Press Club in New York announcing the discovery of additional face-like structures on Mars and showcased the Crown Face (Figure 2) along with various other anomalous structures found on Mars. Like many other researchers, Van Flandern sees the Crown Face as a visage of a single head. When speaking of the image Van Flandern said the following:<o></o>

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> <o></o>
“While not near the Cydonia area, this face portrayal is again striking for the richness of its detail,<o></o>
far better than the typical face arising in clouds or geological formations on Earth. The latter<o></o>
tend to be distorted and grotesque when they are more than simply impressionistic.”2

I am baffled that Robert Zubrin continued talking about the Cydonia (Hoagland Face) yet compare the detail of this image that has not been altered. Why is everyone still trying to debate Hoaglands Cydonio, when there is a clearer more precious face image

there are a lot more interesting things on mars to look at. ::)
move a long folks, nothing more to see here...

Sorry, but the Cydonia Face is way way more interesting than that.

(not to mention the entire Cydonia region, especially the City and D&M Pyramids).

Waaaaarrrrrrgggggh ... noooo ... not that silly face again. Why on mars would anyone want to put a vaguely human looking face on the side of a mountain or on a plain or whatever it is anyway ... with a crown on its head ...

and a 3 fingered hand and arm as a nose. Yep ... look at it closely ... an arm with a 3 fingered hand.

Actually the bit thats supposed to be a nose could from this picture be a fist. So that means a 3 finger hand at the top of the nose close to the supposed eyebrows ... plus the lower part of the arm ... turns into a fist being the nostril area of the face.

Plus ... if you look at it sideways it looks suspiciously like Burt Reynolds ...

paraschtick ... wondering why you human beings can be soo unbelievably silly

I don't see that as particularly compelling myself. It's very vague. I think it is one of those cases where your mind picks out a face because it is prone to find that pattern. There are any number of old Man Rock places on earth:

This reminds me of those pixelated images they used to sell back in the early 90's. You know the 3D one of a sailboat or the space shuttle. Well, I couldn't see that thit either. Could someone who can see it please trace the outline? it looks like any desert to me. I've been looking and looking and I see zippo. I need some advil.

Really?

One phony desert face made to order:

And when you compare that to this:

Its got nothing going for it at all. The symmetry; the right angles; the right pupil (or iris); the mouth; the nose....

That Cydonia Face is truly a marvel. I cant wait until someone goes to check that thing out.

Sure you're only reading Hoagland's book for a laugh ?

There is a more impressive pic on mars of Kermit the frog. Seriously. This isn't a joke.

Richard Hoagland's Rorschach Test --

This one? Mars.

This one? Mars.

This one? A young Liberace.

This one? A human face somewhere else in the solar system.

This one? A pyramid somewhere else in the solar system.

This one? Mars.

This one? A hyperdimensional nuclear reactor that produces 4.35 Jigawatts per day and is used to fuel greenish-blue extra-solar ships with shag carpeting and square crappers garaged on Io.

This one? Shiny.

This one?
Mars.

This one? The second gunman on the grassy knoll.

This one? The ruins of a city of a lost civilization on Mars that had pyramids, built huge fricking faces, and had a penchant for hot pockets.

This one? Snot on brass doorknob.

This one?
A butterfly.

This one? A group of huge buildings on the moon that have been hidden from us on purpose and that used to house a now lost civilization that loved pyramids and used to live on Mars.

This one? A self-loathing bat with an earache.

You forgot how anything and everything relates somehow to the number 19.5...

No, 2012. 9/11, 666, whatever your berfday is, 2000, 2001, whatever the hell next week is. Numbers are the dart board for the people who lack reasoning skills.

Ever watch that crap show, Deal or no deal? There's humanity for ya. They pick a number that means something to them, or someone else, then assume their gold lies there in. Most the time, they're dead wrong. They assume they're right though. Irritates me more than crabs.

Pick a number, you can make it work if you're selective enough.

On the entire face of a planet, you will be able to find a face. But it's your face, not another's.

Im reading Hoaglands book for a laugh. But there are many other researchers that are credible that believe there is evidence of past artificiality at Cydonia.

I dont get my Cydonia info from Hoagland and have never as far as I can remember been to his shitty website.

edit, BTW in case you missed it, I think the 'face' that is the subject of this thread a joke.

Ok, I will admit there are some interesting angles and geometry on Cydonia, without a doubt. And I remember when I (years ago when it first came out) started reading Hoagland's "Monuments of Mars" I was really intrigued. Then, he just kept going and going with all this stuff that was complete and utter bs and brainstorming with angles and avenues and city square, ad nauseum.

Then, to show you what a sucker I am -- I went and bought Dark Mission last year!

At least Monuments of Mars started good, then soon it was rubber room time. Dark Mission, to me, was outhouse crazy from about page 5.

Just to make it clear, I am not dumping the idea that there may be interesting stuff, even ruins, scattered on Mars. It is just that I was thrown for such a tumble reading Hoagland on the stuff, I am skiddish on the subject.

And I would love to read some other researchers and see what they have to say about Cydonia. Could you please post the names/books, I will look into them.

The face at the beginning of this thread is take from NASA. If you still don't see a face then I suggest you get glasses.

If you are convinced you don't see a face and want to know more, I can give you the data NASA provided after that image was taken by them, and processed at JPL.

Ask JPL about this image, maybe they faked it

Arguments against this image have ended in utter failure to post anything.

I've been in touch with JPL and NASA. They weren't going to image the "face" back then if you remember? They did, after a slew of well... spew..... On my birthday actually.

Arguments have not ended in failure, only disagreement. That statement alone makes you a fool not worth discussing any details I know. If you truly want to know answers, stop acting like you know them.

There is no reasonable reason to discuss photos. PERIOD. One camp will say the other camp faked it, or vice vers/// You'll need to go there (Mars) and dig. The fact you even argue with certainty shows you know not about proof, only preference.

Now, go conclude Jim H. lives on mars because there's a pic of Kermit. PLease. Oh, and the smiley fave too. Have a Nice day came from Martians, NOT people reading into things. And, bigfoot, pepsi cans, weeble woobles. You name it. Some dolt, has seen it on Mars. With your certainty. Those who remain unconvinced, aren't your nemesis. Your stupidity is.
