Its a trick of light. If you look closely, you can see his eyes.

This is not how BEK's supposedly look. Their eyes are visible, but totally black (including the "whites").

I would certainly hope that any supposed witnesses would be able to distinguish between a face or visage being obscured by shadows and any eye abnormalities. The thing is given that I'm not totally satisfied by or more "rational" explanations I.e. cosnetic contact lens or drug induced pupil dilation I world say that any BEK encounter is a lie or that there is something there. Unless The percepiant is under the influence of something. If you are close enough to a person to determine the condition of their eyes you would be close enough to filter out any environmental factors.

My understanding is that: if their eyes were, or had turned totally black, as in the lens and the eyeball or "conjunctiva" (whites) , they would cease to function in the normal way, none of the behaviour that the BEK which was mentioned in the video seemed to indicate any visual impairment.

Aren't there a number of animals in the animal kingdom that exhibit this trait (sharks) ? I do understand they have poor eyesight, maybe it is because of this condition, so maybe eyesight is compromised to a great extent but still functional ?
