Cryptoterrestrials Revisited

So I was surprised the other day to read about a Harvard study exploring the alternative UFO theory that the aliens may be living among us.

I was particularly intrigued by the name used for these beings, cryptoterrestrials.

Here's a link to one of the stories:

Indeed, that was also the theory and the name of a book from 2009 by the late Mac Tonnies, "The Cryptoterrestrials: A Meditation on Indigenous Humanoids and the Aliens Among Us."

Mac's lifetime was cut way too short, since he died in his 30s.

We recently reposted as a Classic Episode a memorial roundtable from November 1, 2009.

Here's a link in case you want to give it a listen:

Its still fun to see that Harvard guys talk about that. That is indeed something! I do find the concept rather unplausible, sea floor has been mapped - although not all the animals. Otherwise this would be a great naval conspiracy - again unplausible.

But perhaps the UFOs can go to water as easily as air - just like in Star Trek Voyager. Just put more power to the shields!

I have seen this article and others like it on so many dad gum news websites, dozens of articles, and not a single one of them crediting Mac Tonnies' book. I hope these fancy Hardvard fart professors are citing Mac Tonnies, because they're clearing lifting his theories straight out of the book and I haven't seen anywhere he's been credited. They even talk about "ultra terrestrials." They're straight up lifting his book.
