Gene & David how 'bout this for an idea: Could you get Bob Lazar on?

Free episodes:

Nothin' to see here
Imagine that for an interview:D Any chance of going throug George Knapp and asking Lazar some tough questions?

Seems to me like something that would not be impossible to make happen. You could promote it too. "Bob Lazar's first interview in years... next week on the Paracast!" ...

Probably get you a few thousand more listeners if you got the word out.

I like that idea...although I'd like to hear the kind of interview with Lazar that would never happen - I'd really like an honest answer as to why he lied about his academic credentials rather than coming up with a story about how they picked him for his natural brilliance or whatever. It was too easily falsifiable, which given that he doesn't seem to be stupid seems like a silly mistake to make.
Our psychology makes fools of us all.

Kevin I was coming at it from the angle that Don Ecker takes: that there is a slight chance he is not completely bullshitting.

He has many questions to answer and inconsistencies to explain, but there are elements that are interesting. Did you hear this weeks Don Ecker interview where he talked about Lazar?

Yes I did, and I'm also prepared to accept that he might not be completely bullshitting.
My point was that one area where he appears to be clearly bullshitting is one that really wasn't essential to the story:if he's otherwise telling the truth that's weird, and if he made the whole thing up it introduces an unnecessary weakness, which I thought was odd because he's obviously not a dummy.
So either he really wanted people to believe he had a more illustrious (and complete) academic background than he did, or he consciously or unconsciously poisoned his own well with something that's clearly contrary to the apparent facts of his life.
You could almost label Lazar "MJ12: The Live Action Version". And the time scale isn't that far off either.

On the other hand I'm conscious of the danger of falling into the trap of seeing conspiracy where there's just human venality and foolishness, and being the boy (OK, Grumpy Old Man) who cried "Disinformation Agent" (something I hope one day myself to have the honour of being accused of: it has a better ring to it than "gobshite").

Yeah cool. I just wasnt sure based on your earlier post. It almost sounded like you were 100% convinced he was a hoaxer.

I look at this whole Lazar thing exactly the same as you (based on the above post).

I heard he still has a website, is that true?

It would be interesting to have him on tho, lol! I remember when me and my dad were glued to the TV listening to his claims when he first came out with 'em back in the 80's. He didn't know whether to believe him or not, but he sure watched the hell Lazar went thru, and wondered why someone would put himself in such a public light like that...

The interview would only need to be 5 minutes long I think. Ask him about college annuals being erased. And, wrap it up lol.

I think it would be great if Gene and Dave got Lazaar on, I don't think the guy is totally BSing either, but he could be just telling a tale.

I think one reason why people don't find the possibility of UFOs (or any esoteric phenomenon for that matter) credible is that some of these folks telling the experience often spout off some other fantastic sounding stuff, like "I'm a reincarnation of Remux II of Atlantis" or other Edgar Cayce type shit.

Could they be following the "we want you to believe, but not too much" edict?

That's how it seems to me anyway.

Well they could do a two-fer. Five minutes of Lazar and then the rest of the show could be talking to Knapp about any new cases he's come across and any skinwalker updates.

I've actually mentioned that Stan and George should be on about Lazar. I think that would be better than Lazar himself, with the exception of the college annual bit I mentioned. I don't think he's been asked that. Lazar that is.

No updates with Skinwalker from George so far as I know. Heard a interview with him mid last year at least. Didn't look well for that place in terms of "evidence". Hope I'm wrong. So, yeah, you're right. If by twofer you mean another 5 minutes with George.

Darkness on the edge of town radio show has an interesting interview with some onlookers about Skinwalker ranch. If interested PM me and I'll give you more info. I'll have to look through the archives awhile which is time consuming is why I just don't give the info. If you aint interested, I aint wasting my time lol.

unless what he says about the crafts ability to warp space and time is true......................

Very interesting potentials there. I do not recall his mentioning this. I think I'll look up some of his old shows and give a fresh listen just to see what all's there to pick up on. Anyway, indeed... if he's said such, and it *is* true, then it could very well open up the possibility of a completely clean coverup I suppose. At the very least, this should make for some entertaining pondering when I get the time for it... much appreciated.

Were all students at his alleged University actually in the yearbook? For example, at my university you had to pay or order the yearbook ahead of time and then appear on a designated day for your picture. If you did not pay, or order your book you were not in the book. There is no record of me in the University of South Carolina yearbooks. I assume, and hope, there are transcripts which I imagine could be trashed/deleted. Could this be part of the issue with Bob?

This past show was one of the best in months. I would like to hear Bob Lazar on the show.

They don't all have to be, only Lazar and some of them who have annuals. I'm aware that Lazar might not have attended the days of the photos. The hell if I was going to mention that though since it could give him an excuse he may not thought of. As unlikely as that may seem.

I appear in annuals I didn't pay for. This is Jr. High and High School. If it's different for college, I admit my ignorance. Stanton Friedman and other researchers who have attended colleges have made the same blunder as I in questioning how the gov. could make everyone's annuals disappear without them coming forward, though, so I won't feel too too bad. Worth mentioning I thought. As oppose to the same Lazar interview that's been done 1000 times where that issue isn't brought up.

Probably not. It's more than just a single missing picture in a yearbook. He's missing pictures, records, any classmates, teachers, etc. in more than one school. Further, he is known to have been attending a community college at the SAME TIME he was at MIT where there just happens to be a professor (at the Jr College) with the same name is his 'MIT professor.' Click on the links I provided in my earlier post on this thread and take a look at the issues.

Good luck, but I don't reckon he'd come anywhere near the show if he were to do any research on the M.O. of The Paracast.
He won't even be my friend on MySpace.
