Gene & David how 'bout this for an idea: Could you get Bob Lazar on?

Free episodes:

I'd LOVE to hear Bob Lazar on the Paracast. I don't want to hear him get obliterated, just want to hear what he has to say about some of the controversy regarding his account. Is it partially true? Is it completely false? Did he work at Area 51 as a janitor, or something and just let the story get out of control? Did he seem something, and lied about MIT to lend credibility to his accounts? I don't know. Is there any kernel of truth in his bag of popcorn?

My first inclination is that he falls in the BS catagory. But still, it would be an interesting show.

I also hear Skin Walker ranch being brought up. I live near Uintah county in Utah. Maybe I ought to do some investigating myself during the summer and report back.

I think that Bob Lazar is a (probably semi-unwitting) disinfo agent.

It's clear that Lazar's a flamboyant personality (jet engine car, brings multiple dates to public events, et c) with a big mouth. He's exactly the kind of person who'd be terrible at keeping secrets and might also fill in any gaps in his own knowledge with stuff right out of his imagination rather than appear uninformed.

I think the government probably observed this, gave him a few nuggets of information, and sat back to see the results. It's like those medical tests where they inject dye into the bloodstream -- putting a Bob Lazar out there let the government immediately see who was talking to who in the UFO community and exactly who knew how much. And then, naturally, he'd self-destruct.

I understand why Ecker might have Lazar in the Grey Basket, since it appears that some of Lazar's information has been backed up by others. In that sense, Lazar is in my Grey Basket too, but I'm not sure I'd want to listen to such a hardcore fabricator run his mouth for two hours. I think Lazar will say anything. And there may even be valuable truth nuggets mixed in with all his lies, but lies have an extremely long shelf life in ufology. I dont think we need any more of them.

Yeah, I agree with what some of Gen said, I think maybe Lazar was used to test the reaction of the world to him and his info.

Or he really was a total nutjob with no credentials, a geek-wanna-be.

Whichever, it was interesting for a few years back in the 80', huh?

How many of you saw the original shows of him?

Not sure if this is one from the 80's:
