Group to call on US Government to Re-Open its UFO Investigation.- Fife Symington

Free episodes:

Skilled Investigator
November 7, 2007 -- The American public is not alone when it comes to sighting what the US Air Force has labeled Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). So too have former governors, high level military and government officials, highly trained airplane pilots and aviation experts. The phenomenon is real. It happens worldwide. No one is sure about its nature. Experts from seven countries will divulge what they have discovered about UFOs at a November 12 panel discussion moderated by former Arizona Governor Fife Symington (R) at the National Press Club (www.freedomofinfo.org).

Oh, my! I've been wondering why someone better than Greer doesn't organize one of these things. Looks like it was put together by James Fox and Leslie Kean.

We may see the feds organize another whitewash investigation yet!

Yeah. It is the event that James Fox has carefuly announced this March during his appeareance on C2C. At the end of September he has also mentioned the same thing during his appearance in the Paranormal Caffe podcast program making the reference towards "the event that will shake the ground" - but at the time the details were still stealthy :)
Until now.

Yeah, well....we'll see about that when it happens. Somehow, I don't think that there is going to be any great revelations that will shake anything but the change from the advertisers jingling in King's pockets.

You know, I hate to admit it but I dread this a bit. I just do not want to see this subject turn into more media fodder. Unfortunately, the Greer comparisons are going to creep up. I dont think I can handle another damn astronomer telling the world via some talk show about the unfathomable distances involved. Then some ass clown with a cheesey smile makes some quippy star trek reference and its on to sports. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH

Sorry for the mini-meltdown.

I know what you mean. How many times in the last sixty years have UFOlogists thought that they were on the brink of full disclosure, only to be quickly disappointed? Keyhoe and his crowd, the late 70s and early 80s people. When else? Just about every time there's a good sighting.

But Kean is a good journalist. She may be hiding a few cards in her shirt cuff. Plus, this is a good panel. There doesn't appear to be any Clifford Stones ready to screw this one up.

I fear that someone from No Such Agency will fuck with Symington before the event, blackmail him, get him to screw up. But then, I am often too paranoid.

Fox, Kean, and Nick Pope, perhaps some others, will be on Hoax to Hoax tonight (Nov. 7).

I'm probably just loony, but I try to find something positive in any event. However, any programed attempt to bring the subject to the mainstream audience is doomed. People who don't want to believe will not be swayed, people who have been warned off (Congress) will not be moved, and people who participate will lose credibility with a bunch of naysayers.

I'd rather investigate through the efforts of people like Jeremy V., our esteemed hosts here and through honest to goodness researchers who are not tricked into believing they know what they don't know. This press club event will be a failed effort, but if it advertises Out Of The Blue, well, good on.

If King would just show part of the video, the instance in which the Saturn rocket was manipulated by the ufo, well, perfect. Doubt is about the only thing that will begin to make the public question, at the very best. I don't think he'll show anything that really represents the issue. Just more talk and that isn't worth a plug nickel in a naysaying crowd.

I hope Out Of The Blue gets its due. That may be the only positive coming out of the press club event.

Finally got Timothy Good's new book, Need To Know ..., and he discusses many more such rocketry "mishaps," more periods of seeming retaliation by ufos after we shot down craft, and some new info on the Roswell incident I hadn't heard previously. I've only read a third of the book at that. There is a wealth of information available and thankfully, someone has actually sifted through it, verified much of it, and questions the veracity of some of what we have heard for years.

Looks like it is not being televised or broadcasted via the web. I have looked on CSPAN and the NPC's website. If anyone has any connections with Mr. Fox, can you find out how we can see the event after the fact?

It aired live on CNN.com, and I totally found out too late. But CNN Headline News just did a blip about it.

C'mon YouTube!

Has anyone been able to record the live coverage?
PM me if someone has the recording.

Article on the press conference via Reuters Africa: HERE.

Of course the article manages to tie in Kucinich and it also references the Blue Book "conclusions."

There's coverage of the event on Anderson Cooper 360 tonight 11/12/07 at 10pm ET (US)

Caught that. It was like ten minutes with robo-skeptic James McGooGoo batting against James Fox. His pre-programmed dismissals were well fielded by Fox but you just can't penetrate matter that DENSE. At one point, Fox commented that these were not all "lights in the sky" and that the men in the Bentwaters case claimed to have not only seen but physically touched a craft on the ground. McBlahblah's response?

"I don't believe anyone's ever touched a UFO."

Everyone got that? Apparently, the beliefs of a skeptic trump the first-hand knowledge of a witness. They even led the piece with the EXACT SAME BUMPER FOOTAGE from the Larry King show, Phoenix flares, Bimmy Liar and all, topped off with the X-files theme. Another pathetic display by the mainstream media. And this is what they consider a "serious" look at the subject.

Oh, to be dissapointed yet again.

Now I know why Don Ecker left UFOlogy.

Let's hope someone in the media picks this up and does a good job. Also, there's still hope that something will come of this press conference in the new documentary, "Beyond the Blue."

Perhaps I should start weaning myself off of UFO books, radio shows, and the whole damned thing.

Dear colleagues

I have been able at the end to ensure the recording of the CNN of the last 10 hours. I have at the end ensured the location with the VHS recorder with the LP recording. I have changed the tape once so for now there is recording of the 10 last hours.

I have to review the material during the day...I could see there were few reports about conference and I have also to check that Anderson Cooper show.

I will export all of the relevant clips and probably during the next day I will upload the relevant video files at the Gevaerd's site. I will let you know. Stay tuned.

Best regards to everyone.
