Hall of Shame

Free episodes:

I happened to catch some of the God, man and e.t. conference with Hoagland on youtube. It's a few years old but wow. Hoagland is a jack ass! He kept slinging crap and Hugh Ross who is a Canadian Astronomer kept trying to bring him back to the "science" of what he was saying. Hoagy then got red in the face and yelled about Ross being so "damn sure" of everything. The really funny part is this. Ross is very much an evangelical Christian but he is also a very good and well read in his field. Hoagland is the one who sounded like a fanatic. His arrogance just knows no bounds. Also, he keeps billing (or letting the programs bill him) as a "science advisor." Yet, I've never heard which science he has a degree or a career in. Not saying he doesn't, I've just never heard if he has.

I believe it is in the field of Bull Sh*t and Story spinning. Old Hogland tends to make me face palm more often than not.

Having recently visited the UFO Watchdog I have noticed a few new inductees into its “Hall of Shame”. Although they have yet to take their proper place on the mantel of shame, they have been named. Take for instance the P-Z category. “Coming soon,” you have JAMES RANDI, David Sereda, Jim Sparks, and Clifford Stone. It wouldn’t be too surprising if devoted followers, (in retaliation), were to lash out in every direction imaginable. As childish as this may seem, it has been known to occur.

UFO Watchdog hasn't been updated in ages. Royce is just doing a blog these days with limited focus.

Best thread I have read here in a while. Couple of serious disagreements with specific names mentioned, but certainly that's as open to subjective review as is anyone's paranormal opinion itself. Welcome to my old friend Kandinsky! (even though there is one name on your list Sir, that is exceptionally curious, at least in my opinion, a little catching up is in order) Again, welcome brother! WTF have you been? When it comes to intelligent input, bring it! :)

Kandinsky hasn’t been around for a while, as this thread was used for the intent of pointing out a recent observation that in fact has been in place for quite some time now.

Just finishing up "Revelations" by Vallee. The theme of this last in his alien contact trilogy is not so much the phenomenon, which Vallee believes is powerful and real, but ways in which it is used by human authorities to obfuscate earthly agendas and to manipulate societal belief systems. In other words and as we have long said--there is a genuine core mystery here buried in multiple layers of high powered bull crap. Like the old onion analogy, peel away one layer of misinformation and you will find another different but equally bogus layer just underneath.

:p self critically thinking to myself, what a maroon... helps to check the date Jeff.

Vallee IMO simply cannot be ignored, nor underscored. He is so the cutting edge of UFO considerations. What was that old line that was repeated in the classic radio show, The Shadow? I think it was something like, "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?"

"Revelations" = A real UFO classic.

One thing that in my mind has always made UFOwatchdog so amazing and effective was it's balanced and critical appraisals of BOTH the shame and the fame. Long live the fame. And may the onion inspired parade of tears, caused by mankind's power mongering folly, be wiped dry to become glimmers of ufological hope. Hope inspired by what are many clear, and most importantly, real examples of ufological stature, dignity, and accomplishment. These are GREAT men IMO.

Yeah, but notice the ratio between Fame and Shame. It's gotta be three to one! There are other deserving folks that have not been included on the Fame list...as well as a bunch not yet on the Shame wall.

In reading the older thread content here I don't see why people were so hard on Posey - he's just a seeker trying to figure some very personal things out. Everyone's reality is different. It's when you push it onto others relentlessly that things get shameful.

As a background, several years ago, the proprietor of UFO Watchdog, Royce Myers, let us handle the site for a while. It was redesigned with new content added. Michael Schuyler, who used to be a regular in the forums here, did a tremendous amount of excellent work to bring it up to date and flesh out the material.

In 2010, Royce said he wanted it back, and I sent him all the code we created. But he didn't use the updated design. He went back to the original, and some of the articles weren't carried over.

It's too bad, but it's his gig, and he will do what he wishes with it.

I wish I could create a hall of shame website. .but I think others have Better skills then I do.
