The only thing that makes sense to me is that it would be a spanish religious figure inspecting the ruin.

The picture was not Tampered with in any way.... I should know I am the Aunt who took the picture The only thing I have done to the picture is made the picture brighter then it was. Nothing was added to it at all. The picture I took a few minutes later (of the same Temple) did not have this figure in it. Just this one !!

I agree that it looks like some material hanging from the tree. It could have easily blown in and out of view because of wind, wildlife, etc...

Haha true, but it really is her. My girlfriend said she found this thread when she was searching about the picture but I didn't know she posted!

It looks like a shirt or jacket hanging from the tree. It's easy not to notice something ordinary when you are looking at something more interesting, like the ruin. Then you notice it later.
