WunderRadio is a fantastic cheap app which allows you to listen to virtually any radio station in the world and also lets you eavesdrop on police and fire radio bands.

BBC Iplayer is really good (not sure if you get outside UK)

Planets is the app I use to check planet positions and has really taught me a lot.

Ragdoll blaster is a really inventive game where you fire ragsdoll to hit targets.

Also easy to link up a googlemail or web based mail account to the mail function (sorry if I'm stating the obvious)

Safari's a great browser - much faster than IE or Firefox. A heck of a lot less buggy, too.

I've just downloaded and started using Safari and it's great. In ten years or more of internet browsing it never occurred to me to try a different browser.

Microsoft doesn't want you to believe there are other, better browsers. That makes sense, since Internet Explorer is measurably the worst in every single respect. It's pathetic that a company with billions of dollars to throw at a problem can't figure out how to build a state-of-the-art browser. Much smaller companies have done far, far better.

Everything MS does is half assed. Look at the failure rate of the xbox 360 if you think this coffin needs another nail.

This is why I don't by hardware from a software manufacturer.

Ive been playing a game (paid) called 'WordFU'. I is addicted to it. 'Rolando' is good too. NGMOCO seem to be on the ball as far as iPhone dev goes.
