Anyway back to your question. I've just finished listened to the third part in the series. This one goes into the "cosmic war" which he details in his "Cosmic War" book. This one is a weird one. He goes in to a lot of speculation about a war that went on in our solar system many millenia ago and about a planet that was destroyed causing the asteroid belt, and caused great upheaval in the general vicinty.
This stuff is not so convincing in my mind since he is interpreting ancient text such as the Sumerian texts which can be interpreted (probably) in any sense since they seem to be full of metaphor (or not depending on your point of view). Does that make sense??
By reading yer posts, i am interested in what information Mr Farrell has to say, i might give a listen to those episodes. Yes your right talks of ancient space wars can literally turn off alot of people from listening, since there is no reference in mainstream history to such a war!!
However we do have myths and folklore. The oldest tribal group who lived in my country were called the Celts. They lived over four thousand years ago in many parts of The British Isles and Europe. They handed down legends mainly through the druids of ancient battles between gods who didnt originate from this Earth.
In the myths and legends handed down, the bad gods were considered to live in the middle eastern area of the world eg iraq, egypt, iran, and the goods gods according to the legends lived in the area that we now call Europe.
Sometimes history repeats itself you might say lol(lost think of the crusades) Well cultures will always say we were the good guys they were the bad guys!! in really depends on the person who gives that opinion our the culture bias.
Yes this are myths, so obtaining real hard evidence of such battles is probably unlikely that is if they if have taken place in the first place?
