Anyone know why all these Mars missions are sent to roughly the same portion of the planet? Even though I'd love a better look at Cydonia, there are countless bits of Mars that are yet unexplained and where Curiosity is looks pretty darn boring! Boo! (What an utterly fantastic machine the rover is, it's the daddy and no mistake..)

I'm not seeing it as a blimp either. I'm sure I read that the Goodyear blimp was not even flying on that night. I don't claim to know what the object was but I don't think it was a blimp. One thing - being London, during the Olympic opening ceremony, I would have thought we'd get quite a few different videos of the same object but so far I've only seen this video.

There must be more out there - perhaps there is but the person who shot the footage just put it down as being a blimp too and don't think they have anything worth showing anyone else? There must have been plenty other witnesses - that area is heavily populated.
