Memories of Mac Tonnies

Free episodes:

That was a really good send off. Such a shame someone who had so much to contribute is gone way before his time. I always enjoyed how any of his interviews would throw up so many ideas. Once his book comes out, might be an idea to have an episode to discuss the content?

Welcome to our forums, and absolutely, when Mac's last book comes out, we will indeed have an episode to talk about it, rest assured.

Nice job with this show, David and Gene. Thanks to the guests, too. You all are very good at this sort of thing, but I hope you don't have to do any more of them for a good long while.

Just listened to the show. Good job guys. Neither overly weepy nor excessive in it's praise, the show was simple, honest, straight forward, good humoured and thoughtful, much like Mac himself. I can't think of a more fitting tribute.

Oh and in defense of Mac's taste, Jessica Alba is much smarter than she looks. No genius I'm sure but much smarter than most people give her credit for (certainly light years ahead of the average celebri-bimbo). Bit of an ice queen though, so Mac's ideal virtual world may have proven less inviting than it may have seemed at first blush if the simulation was accurate...

There must be a movie, and it must not suck.

I didn't know Mac personally but I did correspond with him once or twice.

A great thinker cut short before his time. My only consolation is that maybe there is an afterlife, and he now has the answers we are all looking for.

If that's true, he's probably laughing his ass off right now.

I'd like to publicly thank Paul, Nick, Greg and Patrick for taking part of that episode, I hope we did Mac some justice. He was a good, decent, and highly insightful person, with integrity, wit and intelligence that is sorely lacking in the realm of esoteric study. I'm very sad I never got to speak with him eye-to-eye, in the next dimension, perhaps.

I'm so sorry for this loss, I recently listened to him on that "other show" and it was a great interview. He was such an intelligent guy and obviously a great loss to the community at such a young age. You guys put on a tasteful and respectful show for him. Thank you.
