This is interesting--someone with ties to military intelligence heading MUFON and opposing an alien interpretation of Roswell. Could be a mole put there to misdirect MUFON, lol. But you raise a very important point. Is a Roswell skeptic a good choice for MUFON director??? I'm aware of alternative viewpoints, and problems with witnesses, but, the same goes for the bulk of other cases. I mean, if you're gonna dismiss Roswell as something prosaic, you might as well dismiss all of UFOlogy.
I find that to be a peculiar observation. If somebody dismisses Roswell as an ET event then they should dismiss the entire field? Well, I don't believe that Roswell was ET related (Evidence is weak, those claiming to have seen bodies all appear to be liars, it would be incredibly difficult to keep a secret like that, government doesn't seem to behave like one concealing such a thing, other governments would find out about it and spill the beans, etc.) yet I do not dismiss the possibility that some UFO events could be alien related. I am much more convinced by personal stories from witnesses like Jim and Jack Weiner, Kelly Cahill, etc., than I am conspiracy theories and I can't be the only one. I find nothing unusual about his position. Remember that there was a UFO field for 3 decades prior to the Roswell story breaking in the late 70s/early 80s. If Roswell is this entire subject than what were those people basing their beliefs on for all those years?
