Well this is a good one. A new book on Roswell is available. It apparently is called "Alien Interview" ... and there is a jaw-dropping unbelievable interview with Jeff Rense (whoopeee ) here:

http://rense.gsradio.net:8080/rense/special/rense_L_Spencer_071008.mp3

Lawrence R Spencer wrote said book ... and "edited" the interviews and afterwards when he made "copies" of the interviews he ... get this ... BURNT THEM!!!:D So there is no evidence to show that these interviews ever existed.

This opus is available through Lulu.com.

schtick ... now going for a strong drink and a wall on which i plan to bang my head a large number of times

Wow. Just had something interesting happen when I opened this thread. I got in and then a new screen popped up, brown in color with a red boxed message saying this is an "attack site." I was given the option of hitting one of two ways to deal with it, an explanation of what the message really meant, or backing out of the page. I chose neither and just backed out on my own from the attack warning. But I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Looks like a major hacking attempt.

Got back in with no repeat performance.

Thats kinda wierd, I had a similar thing that happened the other day when I went to check out David's blog. Except it was 'Google' that stopped me from going. Wierd

In case anyone's wondering, after hearing of that weird symptom with the forum, described in Poi's post, I had our host perform a thorough malware scan on the server, and they found it clean and green.

So maybe there's an issue on that user's PC. We take these matters seriously, of course, but Linux servers rarely have issues. And when they do, it's usually an overt hacking or DDOS (Internet invasion) attempt, both of which are readily detected.

Sorry. I didn't mean to scare anyone. Had a feeling it was my computer anyway. It was hacked several months ago and a fellow called several times asking to borrow money immediately after. Though I'm firewalled to the hilt, weird things still happen.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread either.

Odd. You have avg adware removal poi? Or, hijackthis program? Try running that to clean out your system. And of course do a virus scan.

I've gotten a nasty virus off a forum before, but so far as I know, nothing I've seen is suspicious here.

I've run everything, virus scan and adware scan. I'm clean. Have no clue what actually happened, but thanks, Packrat.

Dagnabit ... silly people stealing my thread again :p

However I now know what you meant by wishing etc etc etc. Gene.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having the Alien Interview bloke on the program soon.

I feel that its going to be one of those shows where the interviewee will be given enough rope to hang himself by, or get torn to shreds by our favourite paranormal bulldogs :P

Damn ... two weeks is a long time to wait but I am patient ... I can wait ... I think :P :D

Was he from Nigeria?

Nope. In fact, he sounded like he was from my area of Southeast Texas.

Call me crazy, but I got to wondering if hackers don't have a large network sometimes. Like someone hacked me from New Jersey and called a hacker pal in my city? He even sounded as though he might be my husband's age.

Caller ID confirmed they were local calls. My bookkeeping files were hacked to death and this desperate sounding man told my spouse he'd gone to school with him and needed to borrow a large sum of money. It took a short while to break my password encription and I'm suddenly slammed with calls for money. If I'd linked my bookkeeping program to online banking, I might have actually suffered some loss or possibly identity theft.

I had good firewall protection, but I goofed when I was looking at links in Google for an item for a birthday gift. Wanted to watch a short movie that demonstrated the item, but I was prompted to download a small piece of software in order to view the movie. Like an idiot ... and I kissed my computer data good-bye. Thankfully, I had backup and now use an external hard drive too.

The guy from Nigeria stole mail in my neighborhood for a while though.

Schticknz, I swear I'm done! :p :D
