No, Folks I Didn't Make This One Up!

Free episodes:

Yeah I live in the mountains near North Wilkesboro, and I used to listen to Alan when he had an interesting guest on Fox 99.7. Now he's on some station near Raleigh that I can't pick up. You can hear him online, but every show for the past few months has been about rock bands or pop culture stuff, nothing paranormal. I don't know if he got bored with paranormality or what. But years ago his show was worth waiting all week for.

Not sure either. Krista went on to DJ at another station under a different name. I haven't talked with her in several years.

Calling The Clueless One!

Someone at the georgenoorysucks.com forum wants YOU to comment on your C2C experience.

You might have to defend your good name while you're at it though....

Thanks, but I don't have anything else to say about it. it's all on my blog.

EDIT: Just read the thread...I dunno about defending my good name but I could at least spell it correctly for the dude slamming me.

People don't usually hate the man himself, but dislike the messages and the way he callously spreads them to the listeners. Some of these listeners are extremely gullible, judging from some of the calls he gets. He comes off to me as anti-science, religiously slanted, and hell bent on making everyone accept his opinions/beliefs (which really irks me). I don't feel that's what C2CAM is about or should be.

George Knapp (one of the best) said that the listeners have a vested interest in the program, because they feel a familiarity and connection to the show. Perhaps because of that close affinity, the people who are expressing unfavorable comments about the host and show, are striving for more meaningful content and intelligent conversation than what they're currently receiving. Maybe GRN will be there for eternity, but that doesn't mean everyone has to like it and keep their opinions to themselves. Who am I to deny someone what they once had and seek to regain.

If it's the largest and most succesfull then could i correctley assume that they have lucrative advertising deals.

If so then why do you have to pay ?

Is it like the BBC where there is no external advertising and thats why you have to pay ?

I dont want to pay money only to find that i dont like it.

I'll stick with "The ParaCast". ;)

Actually, you don't have to pay. If you're willing to listen to it when they broadcast, go to the web site, click on "Affiliates", find one in your time zone, one you like, or just throw a dart, and if that particular station has a "listen live" button, you're in business.

I do that a lot.

When I can afford it, I prefer to pay the $6 a month so I can download the MP3s, play around with them in Audacity, put the really stupid stuff to music, and make it sound like techno.

But, God, either George Noory is a total moron, or he just really doesn't pay attention while he's working. I tend to think it's the latter (at the least), because I've caught him so many times when I was listening to someone I happened to be interested in, when they stopped talking, you could tell he had no idea where he was.
It was like some student waking up in chemistry class when the teach asked a question, and then called on him by name.
"Huh? Oh, uh... H2O2? Square root of 2? No, wait, that's irrational. Could you repeat the question?"

"NOORY!!"

That's because sNoory's to busy surfing the internets or he dropped his stack of 3x5 index cards with all the questions. Than again maybe he's too busy laying the shellac on his hair.
