Secondly, a few times when I've posted and tried to be civil and polite but disagreed with a stance I've been pounced on like crazy. That kind of thing is...disturbing to me. I'd rather not engage when I'm likely to be attacked simply for being skeptical about something and saying so, no matter how civilly I put it. I can't recall their names, but one or 2 of those nasty type of posters have been banned, but it certainly has made me hesitant to return.

There is another forum I frequent and some of the guys over there will jump on you like rabid dogs!

"Where's your proof! What's your real name and where do you live? Where do you work so we can check you out cuz we think you're making all of that up!"

One poor guy posted a few stories about being in the military, duties include guarding some areas in Nevada and he sounded pretty legit even if "what" he saw was strange indeed. But, hey, so many of the stories are, right? And if you're the only one there, all you can do is tell what you saw. I mean, who ALWAYS has a camera handy and if you're scared out of your mind, you run for your life first and kick yourself later for not taking the time to snap the picture.... cuz you know nobody is gonna believe you.

Anyway, a few guys have been tormenting him for no good reason. Some have tried to defend him and then they get in a scuffle with the same guys. Sure, there are some that make sh*t up but you have to give everybody the benefit of the doubt. It's just a public forum, after all. Some of those guys over there take it a bit far, I think. I'm a member but I'll NEVER post on that forum. Don't want to be attacked by the rabies squad. Here's what I'm talking about. See if you think some of these guys went overboard with the attack.
