Old veteran at the bar and UFO's

Free episodes:

Some coincidence. Maybe it's just a trick some preachers use to get you to listen to them?

Could be, and there probably were stories about "secret bases in the desert" flying around since we've had secret bases in the desert regions of the states. Oddly enough, I don't recall the guy following up with, "They're demons you know!" or anything like that. I think the conversation moved to what was for dinner or something and nothing else was made of it. It wasn't until the 90's that I tied the story to a possible description of area 51.

Always find it interesting these stories and are planted tales or real stories trying to remove the heavy load of secret knowledge which these folks most likely carry everyday. Going on the track record of this field not surprised ounce of truth rest BS.

Great story. I'll repeat a similar one I've posted here before. When I was young and going to school in Atlanta I met an itinerant preacher who said he had worked at "a secret base in the desert" while in the army. He claimed that this was where we flew "our UFOs" out of and that we chased the "real UFOs", but could never catch them. This was in the 70s before anyone had heard about Area 51 or the tales surrounding it. How reliable was this "Four Square Gospel" preacher? I don't know how sure his grip on reality was to tell you the truth, nor mine at that time for that matter. That's the story though. A description of the Area 51 legend given to me by a alleged AAA crypto guy in the late 70s before any of that had come out (to my knowledge.)

I had a story related to me from a friend about an ex US navy sonar operator he is good friends of (second hand story yes but the person is very trust worthy), his claim was that while the sub he was on was in the southern ocean several hundred miles or so off the coast of New Zealand he watched a contact on his sonar that was moving much faster than his sub was and apparently it was far bigger as in hundreds of meters bigger if I recall the story correctly. Do I trust the story? yes an no but it is interesting none the less.

What I wounder is how many more story's like this from ex servicemen are out there?

I bumped an old thread somewhere in this forum, where an ex-serviceman described his radar training/schooling- when the class was shown real footage of a couple ufo's that were once tracked on radar. He was excited and surprised, while the rest of the class didn't seem too interested. I believe he stayed behind to speak to the instructor about it, and was basically told these things are known to appear from time to time, but not something that's much talked about. I'll try and find that thread again.
