Congrats to the Packers! Being over 50 (do I say that alot?) I still remember the first Super Bowl. It wasn't actually called the Super Bowl then. But, anyway I still remember the Chiefs had a really good but loud mouthed defender who called himself "The Hammer" and he was gonna hammer the Pack. I still remember the old films of him getting hammered and actually being taken off the field. I'm a southern born and bred but I'm been a Packer fan for a long time. Seeing Bart Starr at the game and all the memories make it really fun when the Pack wins it all.

Well, I screamed loud and long for the Steelers but it ended up being for naught. My lovely spouse and I had retired to a local Sports facility (read that sports bar) and although there were a few Steelers fans there the Packer fans outnumbered us.

I won't take anything away from GB. They played one hell of a game (and Vicki thinks Aaron Rogers is "cute") and they ended up out-playing my Steelers. Congrats to all you Green Bay fans ... and after I got done crying yesterday I remembered that there "always is next year"!

Many of us Packers fans shed our share of tears when they lost SB XXXII, and those old wounds were really throbbing during the two-week lead-up to SB XLV. It was a reminder that nothing comes easy, and GB could just as easily lose as win. Was it MacArthur who said, "There is no substitute for victory"? Boy, was he right! I just hope it doesn't take another 14 years for this to happen again! Your Steelers will be back, though. That's one hard-nosed team! If they could have had a couple more minutes ...

I was lucky enough to see my team (Colts) win the Super Bowl a few years ago. I also saw them lose last year in the Super Bowl in disappointing fashion, so I've seen both sides in the recent past. It's great to watch your team play all year long to do something like this.

And while we're just fans and it really hardly matters in the big picture it sure is fun to watch your team win the whole thing. Thats is especially true considering the injuries and difficulties the Packers had in even making the post season. One game here or there and they don't even get in. That's football though right??

Great game. Painful halftime show. Congrats to the Pack, ... they deserve it. ... . and what a way to send Favre into retirement!

The game was great, and I completely share the sentiment that the half time 'show' crap has to go. Sorry if this sounds somewhat condescending towards american sports culture, but what why not just celebrate the sport, teams, and outstanding players, 'as is'. But it is tradition I reckon. :)

Coming from german 'football' here, beaten and bruised. ;)
