The article reminded me of a cheap novel- describing the shady building, job interview and such. Perhaps there is some truth to the "paid shill" -I've never seen any such "plants" in any paranormal sites I've frequented, at least. Some people are so crazy over politics, it would be hard to distinguish a paid shill over regular posters in political message boards..
Hard to get past the reality of a 9 to 5 shill, sitting in a leaky building with bad lighting... ready to close shop and relocate when the red phone rings. Do they hand out W-2's every January?

I think that they actually 1099 them (they're "independent contractors", after all).
