I saw that Ray was recently a guest on Heather Wades show Midnight in the Desert. I wonder if you could have him on too.

You may not be aware but Ray Standford has appeared on the Paracast a few times over the years. You may also be unaware that our own co-host, Chris O'Brien considers Ray not only as a personal mentor but someone who is actually light years ahead of other UFO researchers.

Ray also has a great amateur passion for Palaeontology and he has been been extremely successful in spotting and unearthing fossils in areas where no-one else noticed a thing. His eyesight for picking out minuscule clues that can lead to a fossil discover is virtually unparalleled.

Unfortunately Ray has no interest in pandering to the UFO masses and this attitude of his really turns people off him. He doesn't feel any need to 'prove' he has great data and is doing groundbreaking research that he has no intention of making public until it is finished and it first is seen by Academia in a proper peer-reviewed fashion, as is the way with real credible scientific research.

I really hope Ray does not die before he makes public his work. I've no idea if he has any contingency plan for such an event.

There is no reason we cannot get Ray back on the show. Chris?

I'm not in the anti Ray camp but I have to say I agree with Paul here.

With the personal connections involved and the divisiveness of the subject, as demonstrated by previous forum threads, I'm not convinced it's worth the emotional energy in stirring all that up again, unless there is something genuinely new to discuss.
 
We discussed the broad issue of open and transparent research on the forthcoming 1oth anniversary episode of the Paracast, and my view is clear - in the 21st century, openness, cooperation and transparency is the only effective and intellectually honest way to look for answers. No man is an island, and the truth belongs to everyone.

I am still going through the paracast archives and will have to dive into more of Rays past interviews. I don't know why the reluctance in Ray releasing his data now. I have some of his pictures from collecting "The U.F.O. Investigator"
See photo from July-August 1964 edition. For what its worth, in my opinion from listening to Heather Wades show Ray now seems more openly talking then when I have heard him previously on podcastufo.uploadfromtaptalk1456600782025.jpguploadfromtaptalk1456600798878.jpguploadfromtaptalk1456600807328.jpguploadfromtaptalk1456600827417.jpg

Or it'd be nice if he said the obvious in which there is no "evidence" in the first place - hence the ever long delays in releasing it.

Someone whose forum name is the bitter one calling out someone who is, from his pov , "mired in bitterness", a case of the pot calling the kettle black or irony ?
