are you being truthful han, in your views, ofcourse you are, that still doesnt make you right.

most experiencors are genuine people telling extraordinary stories, being as honest as you, whether their conclusions are fact or not, they are honest conclusions, as is yours above, i have no problem with the showmen, but hoaxers need a kick in the nutz, i dont agree that people are damaged by it all, a mugg and their money will always be parted, always.

I agree that the science of separating people from their money is well understood, just look at a supermarket or clothes shop, and I also agree that there are many people with more money than sense.

However I can not agree that no one is harmed as a consequence of being "mislead".
This one example should be sufficient: Religion and the wickedness inflicted in the name of "God/(s)".

Also I should have made it more clear that the work that Persinger and co are doing is only attempting to answer part of the overall question, but the reason I feel that it is important is because it is going some way to demonstrate that "experiencers" are not always voluntarily "dishonest" or "mistaken". It also opens up more avenues of investigation, because if you fire electricity into certain parts of the brain you can stimulate a "response" similar to "meeting an Angel or God etc" but what is going on when this happens to people who are not wearing the helmet? is the source local or internal to the person, or does the environment play a role. In other words are there "special" places or is it dependent on the person, or is it a combination of both? or even is their an "external force" (entity etc) that can cause such reactions within a person?
I want to know, but I am not confident that their will be a satisfactory answer in my life time.
