when is said this site i was referring to the crazy sleep paralysis site not the paracast(thats a given anyway).
I had a sleep paralysis event last night and it was pretty terrifying. That got me thinking. If someone like myself can be that frightened by something I understand (yeah, that makes me sound like a know-it-all, but it isn't my intention), it makes me realize why someone would jump to the conclusion of demons or aliens to explain it.

I do have a few hypnogogic episodes in the form of those little leg or knee jerks, but that's pretty much it. I had this discussion on another thread earlier this spring, and I stumbled across a web page...not necessarily authoritative...that seemed to indicate that episodes of hypnogagia (falling asleep) are associated with the old hag syndrome and hypnopompia(coming out of sleep) are associated with alien abductions, I'm pretty sure I remembered it correctly, which if true, would be interesting. Why would the human body compartmentalize two opposite but related phenomena into two seperate experiences? I'll see if I can track it down
