I don't know that you can take any one persons view of ufology as the gospel. I do think, however, that you would be in error to not take into account what happened to Whitley and put that up for discussion as a part of ufology. And if you're a fan of this show, you would have to admit that much of what Whitley says is closely allied with many things I've heard on THe Paracast.
Can he be a nutcase and go way over into prophet mode?... sure. Do I think he had a series of credible experiences in the 80's? Yes I do. He sometimes gets lost in the murky area between his imagination and what actually happened, but I do believe his original non fiction work(COmmunion) was a fairly accurate account of his experiences. And he hasn't yet ruled out what caused those experiences.
Alot of you are overgeneralizing what he thinks after not listening properly to what he's saying. I know it can be difficult to listen to because he gets carried away. But if you listen to him objectively, he can make some sense. I could go on and on and include caveat after caveat, I'm not an avid follower of what Streiber says, but he's part of the ufo puzzle and should be listened to with a discerning ear imho.
I also would like to know what Jeff, David, or even Brad thinks of the man that came to visit Streiber(master of the key) if you guys know of that encounter.
Btw, he's always been defensive, thats been one of my problems with him. Anytime someone goes against what he says he gets a little out of hand. He definately feels ridiculed, and reacts way out of line with the problems he encounters. While I wish he weren't like this, I still value some of the things he has said.
