The alleged government UFO conspiracy and Wikileaks

Leaking Documents about a war that I'm not allowed to talk about (since I'm in the military so there for I must not have an opinion) is very different than leaking documents that would literally change the world. Religions around the world would fall apart, the stock market would tank, people, not everyone one, would be hysterical. Most of what you are seeing on Wikileaks pale in comparison to what UFO doctrine would do. You may be thinking that this vast conspiracy involves a large numbers of people but I would think that there are a few people pulling the strings and it gets filtered down to where the information needs to go. There is documents already out that prove without a shadow of a doubt that people within our government and other government for that matter know about UFO's and know whats really going on. Not to mention the hundreds of ex military and contractors for the government that have come forth with information. People have died over that information also so this notion that someone may die for leaking information is not new by any means. To some people it just may be easier to say nothings going on, our government doesn't lie, and those of us who have found the evidence to the contrary either made it up or someone else made it up and we are just fools. There is just to much evidence to suggest (not only suggest but prove) that our government knows the truth about UFO's and for the most part thoughs of us that have done the research have come to except "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink."

Sorry, but that seems like a pretty weak argument to me. You seem to have given up on the idea that they wouldn't leak because of risk and instead appear to be saying that nobody would because it would be too profound of a thing to leak. Well, I couldn't disagree more. The fact that it would be such an enormous story with plenty of large implications is precisely the reason it would be so attractive to a potential leaker. The bigger the story the greater the chance someone might risk life and limb to expose it.

And where is all this evidence you're alluding to? I've been reading about this topic for 15-20 years and somehow it has gotten passed me. I've seen good evidence of secrecy and some sweeping under the rug of instrument readings, photos, videos, sightings, etc., but compelling evidence implying that some governments of the world are sitting on hard proof for UFOs or somehow have solid answers regarding the whys, wheres, and whats of the phenomenon is lacking to say the least. I've seen more evidence for indifference taken to a borderline criminal degree than I have anything else.

As I said, no matter what anyone would say, your stuck in your beliefs (which there is nothing wrong with). And your misunderstanding me a little. The bigger the risk the bigger the reward. I'm not saying "the smoking gun" you want wont be leaked do to risk or because it would change the world. I'm saying the "smoking gun" wont happen until the government comes out and says it or ET lands on D.C.'s lawn. No matter what gets leaked it will never be good enough for some people. The " I've seen good evidence of secrecy and some sweeping under the rug of instrument readings, photos, videos, sightings, etc." isn't good enough for you its one of two things; you are not looking at what the same stuff most credible researchers are or you don't buy any of it. I'm a skeptical believer. I don't take anything at face value without evidence to back it up. There's a fine line with being a skeptical believer and a flat out skeptic. There's nothing wrong with your way of thinking, they are your beliefs and that cool. We can agree to disagree.
 
The easiest way for a government to discredit "wikileaks" would be an targeted operation leaking bogus (or even real) UFO documents to wikileaks--wikileaks QC may be aware of this problem and simply filters all of those documents out.

"oh....you mean that site that also leaks UFO stuff.....[curtain of laughter]"

That being said (I am not really taking a position on this...so don't start fidgeting with the reply button yet...) one day we might see the headline "wikileaks.org found censoring thousands of leaked UFO documents." (oh that's going to piss someone off...really)

If a government really wants to get rid of wikileaks, then they should have some paranormal/ufo documents conveniently leaked and posted to the site...there, I said it and the cats out of the bag...now you'll never be able to use this gambit :P
 
How long do you suppose it will be before various UFO groups begin petitioning Wikileaks to reveal any UFO related documents they may have turned down?

First off Hemi: Thank you for your service, coming from an old Devil Dog here. The rock isn't the most fun place in the world to be...especially if whisper alley is gone.


I would have to agree that there are very few that are in the know about such topics, if there is anything to know. With the whole "disclosure" movement, Greer has shown that people can swear to anything and the government will take little if any interest. As I heard on another podcast, it's not what you (private individual) knows or says, it's what you can prove. And to prove many (or any, to be honest) of these UFO type accusations would require that person to have possession of either an actual living alien or a functioning craft.

I don't think it would destroy religions nor the economy though. I think it would have the opposite effect: when faced with the unexplained, people often turn TO religion for answers. As far as the stock market goes, I would expect all sorts of futures on metals, and high tech companies to soar...especially if they're dealing with the government.
