The great vocalists thread

Free episodes:

And to the poster that took exception to Thom Yorke's singing prowess, I am curious to know why? His voice and style defined an entire genre of music.... Just curious?

That was probably me . I just find him to be just soo ... whiney :D and depressing ... but that of course is just my opinion ... which is always right as history will prove when I'm dead :D. Which will probably be soon as I'm lynched by all Radiohead fans everywhere ... but as they say ... thats life :D.

ps and I will never understand why people bought Creep in their droves. Mind you it was in the same kind of timeframe that gave us Nirvana and their ultra-whiley "Teen Spirit". Lots of middle class kids with not that much to whine about whining about something or other. Maybe the middle class kids were all depressed at the same time?? All I can say is thank god for Weird Al.

This was a parlimentary broadcast for the Paraschtick is ALWAYS right party

I'd have to agree with Xylo in including Roy Orbison...I remember hearing "Communication Breakdown" as a little kid and knowing to the depths of my soul that whatever I grew up to be there was no chance I would ever, ever be able to sing like that.
It may be unfashionable to say it, but the Pelvis pre-Vegas was pretty damn good as well.

Off the top of my head:

Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)
Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer)
Layne Stanley (Alice in Chains)
Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails)
Bjork (Uh, Bjork)
kaRin (Of the duo known as Collide)
Cedric Bixler (At the Drive-In, The Mars Volta, etc.)
Roger Daltrey (The Who)
William Haislip (Billy Squier)
Richard Patrick (Filter)
Christopher Hall (Stabbing Westward)

BJORK was also in the Sugarcubes which is a little more user friendly than bjork solo. so if anybody out there that cant get into her check them out
