The Unacknowledged Victims of Violence
As a side but importantly related note, I take it that this is the most critical message of the contemporary environmental movement, which seeks an end to practices leading to climate change: as we inflict violence on the planet to the point of its mortality, we inflict violence on ourselves, to the point of our mortality. A dead planet will result in dead people, and a people and/or its leaders who are psychologically and/or ethically desensitized to the consequences of this Terran violence have no chance of long-term survival.

Here my thoughts on climate change. Where I grew up it was a swamp before the white man came. When the settlers came they drained the swamp to grow crops and build a town. Swamps clean the water and release it slowly, so that there is plenty of water all year round. Take away the swamps and you have global warming. The water runs away fast, there is less trees and more heat. Now they are draining the Great Lakes so they can have cities in the desert. In the past twenty years the water line is down about fifteen feet.

At the museum in Tunisia there were mosaics of jungles and jungle animals made by the Romans who were busy cutting down the trees and turning the place into dessert. In the sixteenth or seventeenth century the English burnt the Irish forest because they could not beat the Irish who were fighting a gorilla war against them.

Climate change and pollution are really about justice. It is the poor and oppressed who live in the polluted areas, who have their resources stolen or destroyed.
Saving Salmon
For almost forty years, Alexandra Morton studied orcas near the northern tip of Vancouver Island. Those whales eat sockeye salmon. When Morton learned that these fish were endangered, she decided to save the salmon, in order to protect her whales.

She suggest that we do away with the idea of having parks. Saying to the planet you can have this small area to as a friendly environment while our corporations destroy the rest makes no sense.

Solar storm strikes Earth following monster flare (VIDEO) — RT News

Did anyone even notice anything unusual? Blackouts, electronic failures, bad cellphone reception? I'm beginning to think that all these warnings about sun storms, solar flares etc., even those from scientists, are nothing but conjecture.

You certainly would notice these blackouts if you use HF communications, 3 to 30 MHz, but it's not that uncommon during much of the 11-year solar cycle.

These radio frequencies are not used so much these days now that we have satellite communications, but anyone who does use them (some military, shipping, aviation, broadcasters and radio amateurs) certainly will have noticed blackouts and other effects. But on the whole, most people wouldn't notice anything as almost all radio communications is well above 30 MHz these days.

Strong sentiments, flipper. Well written.

The great truth my mentor taught me: where cities grow, deserts follow.

This is the problem with the climate change debate. Everything flipper says is true, but it says nothing about whether or not increased CO2 in the atmosphere actually increases global temperature in a catastrophic way. Global Warming has become a hammer which can be used to beat the social justice nail. There has been no global warming in the last 12-17 years. We have actually seen global cooling in the last ten years. A few more years of global cooling and you lose your hammer. Social justice, deforestation, pollution, etc. all deserve to be addressed on their own merits instead of hitching onto the doomed theory of global warming.

Well said. When the Climate Fraud is finally understood by the populace for the corporate subsidy it really is, the same people who used it as a weapon will pretend they never endorsed it.

Why is there focus on CO2 emissions and not pollution? It is because global warming will make them money through taxes and higher prices, while rearranging the social order and tackling pollution will cost them money.

CLIMATE CHANGE IS A HOAX AND A MANIPULATION OF DATA AND IS USED AS AN ECONOMIC WEAPON AGAINST THE CHINESE AND TO STEAL MONEY AS "TAXES".

ANYBODY WHO DOESNT BELEVE IN CLIMATE CHANGE IS A HEADLESS CHICKEN.
