What irritates me is the flight pattern of that object. Whoever/whatever is guiding it has just discovered Jack Daniels fine whiskey.

There must be a hidden pattern in that cursory flight path lol... Hopefully this won't turn out to be material for a Venus fly trap

Our traditional methods of transport are inherantly linear, we move from point A to point B and in doing so occupy all points inbetween in either a straight or curved line.

But what if the propulsion system warped space time, in order to jump from A to B, this would be perfect for long distance travel, and if the craft didnt have an alternative linear drive like in Star trek where you have warp and impulse engines, then it would need to "hop" about.

Its not beyond the realms of imagination to suggest any craft with a jump drive, would exhibit this skipping or hopping characteristic, moving in a series of small jumps rather than a straight or curved line as our own technology does

Hmm, the way things are going with this one I think it probably is going to turn out being a bug. Earlier I was wondering why it wasn't streaking more and why it seemed to be jumping frames but duhhh, it sort of slipped my mind at the moment that what I was watching was slow-mo. Gonna' need all the videos to know for sure but if I had to put money on it I'd go with the insect idea. Still, I don't agree with those immediately dismissing it as definitely being a bug. It very well might be but it's interesting looking enough to have warranted looking into.

I agree with all of the general points. If/when the general public (gov'ts included) acknowledge these "other" intelligent beings existing we will have to re-write history in it's entirety! That is why the powers that be do not want it known. Which at it's root is fear. Because how could they have control over the masses any further in this new paradigm? Religious or governmental bodies alike would have a hard time dealing with us at that junction. The commoners who do not/can't believe, or can't think about it for long are scared, to put it simply. What do they have to be scared of ? Many things (they think) The first being everything they've ever been told turning upside down and with all the "talk" that goes on from our scientists that we all look up to, to realize suddenly that even the supposed smartest and brightest of the race was dead wrong on these matters would floor them. Steven Hawkings latest claim comes to mind....which I find proposterous even IF intelligent races weren't already coming here. (but that's another debate) It's a total loss of power to all of the above mentioned...what do they have to gain from believing in this? Nothing, as far as they can see. It's all in "perspective" or perception if you ask me. And just to be clear, I'm not saying we should find fault in the common folk by any means. (in case anyone is looking at this post & trying to misconstrue my words again...) We are raised to trust authority and the scientific approach ... thankfully not all of us do or we wouldn't be here having these discussions.
