UFO Magazine now officially dead ...

Free episodes:

Well Gang, it is actually very god damned simple. I am prohibited by legal documentation. In other words I signed legal papers. Kay?

Well...not that I ever read it(didn't have the chance to over here), but it is kind of sad. What I think of the Burns'es..yeah, won't get into that. May it rest in peace.

is this the paper version i used to buy upto like about 10 years ago, was it graham birdsall or similar, or was there 2 versions ?.
i know graham died, but is it the same franchise.

Graham Birdsall produced the British version of UFO Magazine until he died. This is the US version but they were two different magazines entirely.

I really did enjoy the UK version of UFO Magazine. You could tell that Birdsall took keen interest in the subject and was trying to get to the bottom of the mystery. I did keep some of those issues from a dozen years ago and rarely keep any mags for long.

Okay, the US version of UFO Magazine was begun by my wife in Los Angeles in 1986. We ran it until 1997 when we took business partners that ended up taking controlling interests. My wife and I ended up leaving in 2006-2007, and Bill Birnes and his wife attempted to keep publishing. However, as sad as this may sound ... it began to flounder. They (in my opinion) lost focus on what the magazine's purpose was ... which was to explore the UFO phenomena. We knew Graham Birdsall quite well and back in the 1990's he had a smaller publication using a different name. Actually I do not recall it. One day, around the year of 1993 or so he called me from England and asked me if I would like to start writing for his publication. I told him thank you but I was very busy with my duties at UFO Magazine here in LA , plus my radio show I did weekly plus a lot of television I did then. Before you knew it his magazine was called UFO Magazine UK. It did not bother Vicki or I and we never raised any fuss.

Yes, our publication was very well respected, and it went around the world. We had subscribers all across Europe, Russia, Japan, Australia, Thailand ... hell you name it. We zeroed in on cases, researchers, did very well regarded book reviews and I had an entire series of exposes I conducted. That is why I was so sad to see what became of UFO Magazine. However life does move on ...
