UFOs and Bigfoot in Pennsylvania: Ask Stan Gordon:

Free episodes:

You could be right. He has has gone out "squatching" with Todd Standing who in my opinion is an obvious hoaxer.

But and its a very big BUT, Dr Jeff Meldrum has sided with standing on many occasions and john Bindernagel (RIP) has also been involved in the "Research" that Standings doing.
i know its pretty controversial and the animatronic coconut heads were really bad but why does Meldrum bother with such nonsense?

I think Meldrum genuinely believes in Bigfoot and gives compelling information with his foot print analysis.I've heard it suggested that Standing has had many real Bigfoot encounters and has faked footage as a result of frustration at not being taken seriously.Les Stroud still says he's on the fence 're its existence.I think both Meldrum and Stroud are tainted by their association with Standing.

Meldrum is interesting but there are very clever people with advanced degrees that say some strange stuff that makes me scratch my head.
A couple of Apollo astronauts have revealed a few equally 'interesting' opinions

When I lived in Oregon we would occasionally go to the beach and stay for a weekend. While we were there, this place was always a mandatory stop. They had a giant wood figure out front Bigfoot's Steakhouse

I know this thread is a bit stale, but my wife and I watched Discovering Bigfoot last night. Oh my God ... rolling on the floor. Even Meldrum looked like he was smirking at Standing's melodramatics and they edited most of it out. Why he and Bindernagel would associate themselves with this guy is an open question. A sincere desire to believe, curiosity and opportunity would probably get me out there with him too - then possibly some sort of contractual agreement might keep me from pointing and shrieking FRAUD after I did so.

We get Finding Bigfoot in the UK, that show is about as much use as a one legged person in a arse kicking contest.
Sounds awesome. I would have liked to have seen at LEAST ONE of the mysteries I've been interested in since I was a kid solved (40+ years ago). UFO's, Bigfoot, Loch. Monster, etc. But I know as much today about these things today as I did then.

and we're still talking about the same exact cases .....
Exactly. Notice how the cases were more extreme & fascinating in decades past? (coincidently, before there was a phone in everyones pocket and surveillance cameras everywhere). No longer are there the 1000's of Ted Phillips physical trace cases. I never hear about landed saucers anymore. Also, it seems like the hey day of abduction cases have come and gone. The old school fakers like Meier & Adamski are gone as well. Now since everything is filmed, all we get are fake internet videos/CGI.

Take the landings; when was the last time there was a full blown report of a landed flying saucer and then by the time the researchers got to the site, there was your typical scorched earth area in a circle with all of the soil dehydrated? You know the kind where there's an official report, photo's, soil analysis etc. etc.

You have gained no insight in 40 years?

And Yeshua spoke: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." You're good2Go!

Well put. The fakery is impressive and the stories adapt themselves to the times. Not Venusians, Nordics, swarthy types with pancakes or what have you from times past or even the little grey creatures off the cover of Communion. Now it seems the absence of evidence is becoming evidence of who knows what – even poor Bigfoot has interdimensional qualities.

As for cryptids, I am interested in the ones that have an appearance of credibility and the search for real, physical evidence. http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2014/07/bigfoot-samples-analyzed-lab
So far it seems like a lot of ordinary hair and s**t but you never know. Maybe one day a large plesiosaur looking thing will choke on a wad non-biodegradable plastic Dr.Pepper bottles and we’ll finally have a good look. I’m not holding my breath to see any Hopkinsville Goblin or Mothman autopsies.

For UFOs I like the idea of TTSA in principle but am just sort of waiting to see if it does anything unique.... or anything at all. They go where many have boldly gone before and failed – and nobody is even mailing them poop to examine.

A comment Stan Gordon made during interview was that in multiple witness cases some see things other do not. One of my tag lines has always been ‘what do you make of otherwise credible people who say incredible things?’ and I think that’s the hook. That’s why I keep coming back for more and why I’m here.

Unfortunately 40+ years later I’m getting cynical and the disappointment is creeping in because I have gained insight into all this and it isn’t flattering in regard to human nature.

Yeah, my insight is that 99% of the cases I thought were real (and like a fool made other family members and friends watch so that I could convert them to believers) have turned out to frauds/hoaxes. And then I got a lesson in seeing how people will stare you (or the camera) directly in the face & tell you a UFO story that is so damn convincing - only to find out its a lie/hoax/fraud. So my insight, as you call it is jaded.

LOL - exactly :) From the sounds of it, we are probably about the same age. I figured my best chance of seeing a true life flying saucer was when I entered the Navy at age 18. I remember my company commander in boot camp - his reaction when I asked him about the Philadelphia Experiment. He looked at me as if I had 3 heads. But once I got assigned to my squadron, I was excited. My plane could fly long missions 13 hours and make it from Maine to Sicily in one shot. Pretty good for a turbo prop. I spent many a day & night just staring out my window looking for anything strange. At night time I would wear the night vision goggles. I could see every star & satellite there was to see. But I never did see anything. Part of my duties was being the inflight photographer. So I figured if I ever did see anything I'd be the one guy out of a crew of 12 that could take the pics with a 70mm camera. 5 years came and went and I never so much as saw anything :/
