I was 8 or 9 years of age and I was playing in the house. But I definitely remember that the door was open as were the windows so it was either a really warm winters day (like it was in Kecksburg that day) or summer. The more I think about it summer seems to be the winner here and it was just as the sun started to go down. As I remember my best friend ( this is how I remember it was summer.

:confused: Kecksburg happened in December '65. And it came down with a loud bang, from what I've read.

It didn't take back off either, so this would have been a separate event.

I am not attempting to equate the events. You may not realize that Kecksburg is not far from where I was at the time. Maybe a 1.5 to 2 hour drive. Also the Kecksburg object did fly near where I was living at the time. Although I did not know that until a few years ago. All I meant to say is that it reminded me of the event. Kecksburg would have been a few years earlier as well.
