So if Snowden is a CIA stooge.......what's to be gained by this circus? What are they diverting attention away from?
What IS to be gained by this? I think that's the trillion dollar question.

We would need to assume that either the Russian government is complicit in this ruse. Or, that Snowden has the balls to relinquish himself to their tender mercies with a head full of valuable information. (or possibly dis-information) What could he still be holding that would merit amnesty? The answer to the trillion dollar question? Or an empty hand that's all part of the ruse?

We are only told what those in charge want the press to tell us. High level deals are almost as likely between enemies as between so called allies. Maybe Putin got a new hunting rifle and the names of a few moles to shoot for Christmas. Snowden looks a bit like the Lee Harvey Oswald of the 21st century. But with his skin intact. Or not.
