I wouldn't put it quite that way. That makes it sound like I'm whining over the fact that everyone else's thoughts don't match up with mine on questions of religion. However, the thing I'm actually taking issue with is the seemingly constant trashing of certain religiously informed points of view by so many individuals that this audience represents. I hoped I might learn something, but at each turn I can't help feeling like I just don't belong in this. Here's another example of what I'm talking about taken from your post ...

That strikes me as so stereotypical, unfair, exaggerated, and unproductive. How the chaplain at your high school may have responded to questions of yours really isn't relevant to the questions of the content being explored.

Anyway, I've decided to give up on all that. It's getting nobody anywhere ... but speaking of being unfair, I owe you an apology.

I shot my mouth off here while, in the same breath, I said I would "never belittle or insult someone who researches and reports on these topics". But that's exactly what I did after you had been nothing but cordial toward me. And for that, I apologize.

No, you were not whining. You were upset and I understand why you would. That is why I explained to you that I cannot control the opinion of my guests but that does not necessarily mean I share them. That is why I took the time to inform you of where I stood.

Believe me when I tell you my experience with the priests and the "BECAUSE GOD SAYS SO" was not an exaggeration. I did not leave the church. I am just looking for answers elsewhere. That is all.

By the way, sorry for any typing mistakes. I wrote this late at night and I type faster than I think.

Hello Manticore(or Mel),

Come on, you have to be able to see the difference between these jackasses and someone like Friedman. I listened to 6 of the 13 shows on your site. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Seeing if you would eventually start to call some of these dipshits out. Yet you choose to give them equal footing with quality guests. Thus, you are in this for entertainment NOT the enlightenment you want us all to belive you are here for. Thus, I labeled you as a tool. Was I wrong? If so, then why?

Ron, you can't expect every guest to be the perfect one, can you? As I said before, I can't expect to come out swinging right from the gate. Do I believe everything my guests say? Absolutely not. Am I going to start saying "PROVE IT" so early on? Being so new and unknown the circle of the people I'm interviewing is very small. I don't want future guests to say "Look at that arrogant guy. Only he knows his name and I come to the interview to be humiliated?"

Besides, I challenge my guests in my own way. Did you listen to my interview with Grant Cameron? 3 hours of research on the air. We even offered corrections at the end of the show. Did you listen to my interview with Richard Dolan?

Not every show and every guest will be what you expect. I have to live with that. But I thank you for listening, even to one show. If you listen to more, I would hope it is because you found some value.
