BUT- how you explain the 'oval shaped hole' that the "ray gun" supposedly put through a couple trees? Did he just drill it out? What about the sound recording? Or the metal samples? Seems like an awful lot of unnecessary trouble to just start a cult or sell cheesy crap.

the source is a proven hoaxer, any court would on the examples ive posted declare him an "unreliable witness"

and would not take any further testimony from this source as evidence. thats how it works in real life

Mike, yeah I agree it's all BS. No argument there.

But it just seems like he/they went to an AWFUL lot of trouble in all this. The way I see it, if he has just used some of his 'better' (I use the term lightly) pics and his incredibly science fiction writings he could have ended up exactly where he is today.

The sheer volume of BS from the guy is self-impeaching. Okay, some people would look at it like "The guy CAN'T be lying- he's got photos, film, metal, whatever" and not look to hard at the specifics because he's got so MUCH crap.

But why bother with all that? To me it seems like a one-armed guy who can make a fake tree and all these models wouldn't go and photograph woman on late-night TV, or artwork in books and try to pass it off as real.

And in fact, the LESS 'proof' he had would make him harder to prove a fraud. Is he that big an idiot? To me, he strikes me as being many things (insane, delusions or grandeur, etc.) but he doesn't strike me as an stupid. Silly, but not stupid.

If he goes through the trouble of constructing elaborate (though ridiculous) models and had devised a clever way (in some cases) of photographing them to make them look halfway decent (some pics are ok as far as fakes go), why the sudden laziness of photographing dinosaur artwork?

Then supposedly shortly afterwards, delerius from the pain he wandered around and he did some stuff that he's said he'll never talk about. That makes me want to know even more.

Doesn't the fact that Meier appears to have had lots of early brushes with law enforcement make what he says less credible? Evidently his supporters don't understand such matters. Fact is, based on his early history, he's a crook, a liar and a cheat.

What he doesn't seem to understand is that "self-defense" is an argument used by defense counsel to find their client (Meier in this case) not-guilty. The fact that Meier was convicted and imprisoned shows that any claim of self-defense was rejected by the court.

Forget about the first run-in with the law. Things happen. But he was arrested and convicted a second time, escaped from prison, joined the French Foreign Legion and then became a deserter from that gig. What sort of character traits does that sort of behavior indicate?

And all that precedes his grave-robbing and vagrancy issues. To think people worship this criminal as a prophet!
