I agree with John. I feel like I missed a lot of the references by not having seen the original Meier film (although Jeremy did you say you havent seen it either?).

I could fill in the blanks pretty well though I feel.

The only thing I wonder is this; I bet your film is even funnier if I had seen the original Meir documentary you are spoofing. Is it available online somewhere, or do I have to pay Horn for a copy?

I know it used to be up on google video, because I remember Horn bitching about that. I don't know if it is anymore. But I've never seen it so you're not missing anything there. I just know what's in it from all the debunking of it and that funnier-than-my-spoof movie trailer.

I have had whiplash before and somehwere there is picture of me and that bald guy that was taken by my friend at one of my first UFO conferences in Laughlin. This was before I knew that Horn was Horn. I must find and destroy.... destroy...... destroy.......

Oh no, you were in a car accident!? That how you became interested in ufos? :p

Is the whole "I was in a car accident" thing an actual reference to somebody into the Meier cult? Or just a plain old funny idea?

It started off as an incredibly insensitive goof on HWSNBN's exercise video bio wherein he says he was in several car accidents as a teenager. I thought, 'Yeah, you'd kinda have to have been in several car accidents as a kid to believe Meier as an adult.' It evolved accordingly.

Hey, good news everybody! HWSNBN's new CD is out. It features the single "Forgive Yourself."

No, I did not make that up. As a side note, not to detract from the rich, gooey comedy of that... Don't you have to have airplay to have a single?

He sings. Or tries too, if I remember correctly. I didn't recall the exercise vid though.

That says a lot actually. You know how theres those people that just have heaps of different 'projects' going on, that seemingly have no association with the other? They are usually the sort of people that will try any new venture to make a dollar.

Not saying theres anything wrong with that all, but in this case it paints a picture of Horn as one of these types of folks, and the Meier stuff is just another of his attempted revenue streams to go with the exercise vid, the album and god knows what else.

Although I have a hard time imaging how Meier would pay him. Do the cult followerd pay money on a regular basis to the Meiers for access to prophecies or ray-guns or anything?

Don't forget the fingernail artwork he invented.

I recall Horn saying Billy doesn't pay him.

I've heard about donations being given to Billy. This is nothing I've explored in detail though, so consider it a rumor til someone post something better.

Good point. Well Im convinced. Horn doesnt believe a word Meier says. Its just a business venture.

Youre sprung Horn. Yeah I know youre reading this.

I wasn't making a point he was a conscious con artist, in case you got that impression. I am not convinced he isn't sincere, besides being sincerely wrong. There's many people who are deluded that buy into the BM case (although percentage-wise they are the minority thank God, or whatever). Horn may be just another one of those wishful religious-like people, who happens to make a little cash off it too. I've honestly heard Friedman and Randel plug their stuff more than Horn. But one might say Horn has backed off plugging, because people use it against him. I can't recall how much plugging Horn did say, 10 yrs ago as oppose to now. Having said all that, he could be a conscious con, I'm just saying I am not totally convinced he isn't simply deluded and incorrect.
