Zeitgeist has more holes than swiss cheese. Mushing together Jordan Maxwell, David Icke and Loose Change does not a masterpiece make...

This is not the original piece. This is an entirely new movie. Not sure if you caught that or just made a comment. This movie explains money, then investigates a world without money.

NOT THE ORIGINAL MOVIE. DISCUSSES BAILOUT AS WELL.

I thought it was really good.
Sure there are problems with this Zeitgeist too..
not really any factual errors, some definite distortions though.
And there's two major problems with the philosophy they present in my opinion:

- Attack on competition
- It's a Utiopianized belief system

A deliberate mocking of competition is trash..
No competition does not = no advancement , it does however have an enormous role to play in any culture and it exists in societies without a monetary system as well. The philosophy would be better if they mixed it with the concept of natural rights and a semi-libertarian outlook on free markets. It would be much more suitable IMO. ..This has already been done.

In any society animals or humans, they help one another but there are limits. People have to learn to help themselves. We need to look at REAL nature, nothing is entirely peaceful and perfect however we can see that sustainability is important and that humans are the only creature to say I must own and control everything, I believe we need to get away from this.

A worship of technology seems almost to conflict with this idea but not really, if our desire to understand is not also to interfere with existing systems but coexist beside them. I think alien species that survive for thousands of years with high technology very likely, learn this quickly. Humans of the overarching world culture have not had this understanding forcefully ingrained into daily mindset, but that day is coming..

So, down one path lies the empoverishment and ultimately, enslavement of all mankind OR an impossible-to-achieve, utopian ideal in which we will all play nice simply because we should.

.... I don't like this game. Let's play Hungry-hungry hippos instead. I call green!

I had the same original reaction when I saw Zeitgeist the first time, I thought it was a masterpiece... So I started some digging. I didn't have to dig far to find the first hole in this cheese,
Horus was not born from a virgin, but from a dead father/god that was glued back together (Stupid Evil Bastard: Ending the Myth of Horus)
Every website I could find claiming that Horus was born from a virgin was only to make that Jesus-Horus relation. Just that kinda killed it for me. But I do wonder what was the motives for exaggerating the facts? Is there any ground to some of the claims. On that subject, as soon as I see holes, I stop caring. But I encourage anyone interested in the subject to keep digging.

That's the least of it. Horus is one of (if not THE) oldest egyptian gods and just like Spiderman, Superman and other heroes, his origin story changes slightly with each generation. You could basically connect Horus to ANY other deity based on how you cherry-pick the Horus mythos.

The irony is that the underlying message is correct, Jesus IS a sun-god but the arguments presented in Zeitgeist are assinine regurgitations of Jordan Maxwell's stuff.

This Addendum however is worth watching, at least for the first half just so people who may not fully understand it come to terms with just how f'd up our economic infrastructure really is...

That was the original movie. Try reading the title and then watching it. This happens to be a new film. After that, dig away!!

*sniff sniff*

What’s that smell?

It’s the smell of propaganda. Nothing smells better then a PSYOP in the morning.

I watched this documentary the first day it came out and when I saw this thread didn’t bother. I just kind of counted my views on it up to it being a disagreement of an ideology on a means to help the world.
I was wrong. Way wrong. You know why? Because this documentary is DIRECT propaganda from the very people whom I speak out against. Call them globalists. Call them the “New World Order” as they do themselves.

Hmmm.

If it looks like it, smells like it, it usually is.

If have some disagreements with members here about TRANSHUMANISM. I am far from someone who hates technology. I am as about an avid video gamer there is. I love me some Xbox 360. I am all for technology making our lives better. The thing is I am for OUR LIVES and not some lunatic fantasy that we merger with computers and no longer exist. I get “off the train” where nutcases like Kevin Warwick say we need to put RFID chips in us and become cyborgs. At that point I would not longer be human. That is not something I choose to entertain or even consider to be the goals of rational and sane people.

Zeitgeist Addendum though, that is what it calls for. A globalist society ran by TECHNORACY. I have read enough from the Club of Rome to see that is a long-term goal of the so-called “elite” of the world. I also have researched the work of Jacque Fresco. Another fellow mentally ill, though considered “brilliant” futurist in Ray Kurzweil is quite the fan of Mr. Fresco. It’s not that difficult when you have the research down and understand what you are looking at to see the view.

Zeitgeist is attempting to create a religious CULT that goes off the back of transhumanists (eugenics) and technocrats. I guess I should explain something about myself. Personally, before the question is raised. I am not a religious man. I do believe that something/someone created all of this and I am thankful for my life. I am not a member of any organized religion. I do not follow the “teaches” of Jesus. None of my views or what I am saying is alerted by that in any way, shape, or form.

I want people to understand that this is pure propaganda. It’s an infiltration attempt by the very people others think they are fighting against. I am not fooled by their propaganda. This was attempted by various people in the 9/11 Truth movement. All of that failed as well IMO. Do not be fooled. This is total garbage put forth by the enemies of humanity. Do not support this farce.

I shouldn't hold back. Look at who gave the opening speech in this documentary. Calling it "creepy" is doing that word a disservice.

Putting the utopian gibberish aside, do you see any glaring faults in the first half dealing with the economic breakdown?

Also, speaking for rational transhumanists everywhere, I'd just like to say we want man+, not the borg.

Im downloading as we speak. Just to see what all the fuss is about.

cotton, maybe Ill hit you up for some Fable 2 coop if you get it.

cottonzway: How do you propose this "New World Order" controls everyone without the existence of money?
From what I can gather, the Zeitgeist is against religion and money. Those are the two strongest control mechanisms of the elite.
Control through fear is their mantra and without belief in their propaganda, there is no control.
I don't think there is anything wrong with a resource based economy. Beats the hell out of the almighty dollar!

Calling this PSYOPS is VERY far fetched.

1st half was good. I have no problems with it except the opening speech being done by a "leader" of a religion while they bash all religions. The accounts on the economic breakdown were lucid and accurate.

I think that is what you and others who share your views on that think. I believe that is what you want. I do not at all believe that is true of those who are at the top of the movement. Far from it as they all seem to be lunatics who are brilliant at the same time.

Well every movement will have it's extremists and genius and insanity are often neighbours. For my money however those people are DEhumanists, not transhumanists. I want to add, they want to exchange or remove.

And for the record I don't consider transhumanism a "movement" in the classical, political sense. I see it as the inevitable course of technological evolution. Whether or not that's actually a good thing will have to be determined by future generations.

Invest in technology? Yes. BECOME technology? No thanks.

This is a CULT movie pushed out by people whom IMO I speak out against. I have no question about that at all.
