April 5th 2008 - Dr. Richard F. Haines

Free episodes:

Is he a real commercial pilot? A captain would never do that and as 1st officer that would have been his last flight. In my experience they constantly monitor the flight instruments. I can't speak for cargo plane pilots though.

Yea he's a real commercial pilot, he's the main headache in our band because his schedule is so random.

I don't know about the protocols of commercial pilots, I'm just relating what he told me. He could've been lying when he gave me his first answer, because it sounds like he may have seen some ufos after all.

Another great show guys,

Right guest, right questions, right on.

Unparalelled, Aural, Perfection. :D

Another great show. Haines certainly seems to know what he talks about and is honest and doesn't pretend to know anything outside of his aviation expertise. A really good guest with a vast organic database in his mind of tons of credible incidents across a relatively large timeline. His perspective is very unique in this field in that it comes from a place of real aviation expertise which allowed him to provide interesting answers to questions such as why UFO's might have lights that other people in this field would not be in a position to offer or even consider.

I would be interested to pry further into the larger trends he has found in studying this. I am curious if the mindset of the pilot who has the experience in any way impacts the object behavior of the UFO. So if a pilot is very agressive and scared if the UFO will act differently then if they pilot is more in wonderment etc................

Great job in booking this guest!

Liked the exploration on the shape issue with this one,

A topic that warrants more investigation -

To think out aloud....
It appears that UAP's morphology has some criteria in common - such as high degree's of symmetry - cyclindrical, triangulation and spherical manifestations.

We seem hesitant from leaving the comfort zone of our traditional fork-pointed aerial design of craft. But symmetry does seem instinctively advantageous for speed and agility - as demonstrated by the leap in technology following the development of the wheel.

Spherical objects would be the best choice in engineering for instance, when variable and ease of direction is important - the effort required to make turns is negated - the old fashioned mouse (with the ball) replaces the joystick.

Our current aerial technology is constrained in that it has to be both land capable and gliding capable - UAP craft design seems based for purpose - to fly through low mol.mass phases without our traditional hurdle of getting airborne.

But, the problem of aerodynamics/friction and drag resistance and speed balance is a hard one to crack, unless circular craft could be designed with sharp edges, pointed circumfrances - watch the slenderness of the wheels on the tour de france participants (Saucers!!).

Circular motion, both with pulling forces and pushing forces acting together on the whole craft to project directionally must be more energy efficient than conventional design which is energy consuming since the work is pivoted on two jet turbines trying to pull the rest of the mass forwards and push the air backwards.

Onto this follows the propulsion mechanism.... I don't see ionization working here, it takes a lot of punch to ionize air molecules, and it doesn't last for long - they soon fall back into the ground state (in earth atmosphere) - the energy expanded to do this even to convert into enough EMF with respect to the height above the ground and the potential acceleration/gravitational forces, not very sure.

I prefer altering the mass or partial pressure of the surrounding air somehow -.

Gene & Dave,

Wow - this show was GREAT. I listened to it twice.

I'm really impressed with Dr. Haines, that guy seems SO reliable and even-keeled. I like the fact that he took each question so seriously (that's a compliment to the question askers)

Well done!

Mike C!
