Pitt's PittCoVacc Produces Antibodies Specific to SARS-CoV-2

A pre-clinical COVID-19 vaccine candidate was reported on April 2, 2020, to produces antibodies specific to SARS-CoV-2 at quantities believed sufficient for neutralizing the virus, a mouse model study at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
When tested in mice, the PittCoVacc vaccine, delivered through a fingertip-sized patch, produces antibodies specific to SARS-CoV-2 at quantities thought to be sufficient for neutralizing the coronavirus.
Compared to the experimental mRNA vaccine candidate that just entered clinical trials — PittCoVacc, short for Pittsburgh Coronavirus Vaccine — follows a more established approach, using lab-made pieces of viral protein to build immunity.
It’s the same way the current flu shots work.

Commentary:

I find these numbers rather vague. There is no data on deaths by age or other risk factors, and the death rate by percentage drops with "Stricter Measures". What stricter measures could lead to a reduction in the mortality rate? In other words, if 20 people in a group of 1000 people who are already infected with COVID 19 will die of the disease, what possible "Stricter measures" could be put in place to prevent that?

There are no cures, and after infection, a vaccine wouldn't help anyway. Quarantines wouldn't make any difference. Masks wouldn't make any difference. Shipping the disease victims off to an iceberg in the Arctic Ocean wouldn't make any difference. The only difference is to convey the message that "Stricter measures" save lives. But that is nothing but a fear tactic. What will save lives are rational measures, not stricter measures.

There's also no estimate of the number of people whose health is affected by the consequences of the economic shutdown, such as poverty related illness and deaths. Lastly, why weren't any of the people who created the models available to answer questions? It seems to me that Ontrians and Canadians are still not being told everything.
