So you don't have to look it up.

I would like to say we're at a point where global warming is impossible to deny. Let's just say that global warming deniers are now on a par with Holocaust deniers, though one denies the past and the other denies the present and future.

There are many examples of this. I find them offending as hell.

What the hell is going on? I mean, there is plenty of evidence that the climate is changing at an unprecedented rate. We can see loads of evidence of this such as extreme weather conditions right around the world. Over here in Ireland we had the worst floods in living memory this year. In the states there are bad snow storms I believe. Katrina happened a couple of years ago. Now, these things are natural in nature. But, since the industrial revolution, we HAVE had a huge affect on the environment, and this process has been speeded up, so climate change is both natural and manmade. Believe it or not, the Romans caused extreme weather conditions with the burning of wood on an industrial level. The evidence is there. I think that this is one thing that we cannot afford to call a conspiracy. Sorry for the language, but for Fuck sake, this is probably the most important thing we are facing at the moment. Forget terrorism, forget the recession. I don't know what's going on over in America at the moment, but it seems that loads of people who normally would be highly critical of oil companies and the rape of the natural world are now singing from their hymn sheet. Is it because, finally, climate change has gone mainstream? Are people just against it for the sake of being anti-authoritarian? This could prove a disaster bigger than anything the human race has so far faced. And your kids will hate you for doing nothing.

Anyone who doesn't believe the idea that human industrial activities are having a serious negative impact on the health of the surface of the planet, look no further than China and what's happened to their water supply in the last 20 years. I don't have children, so quite frankly, I don't give a damn how it all turns out, but those with children would do well to put down the drumbeat of denial and buy a fucking clue.

Oh, and this thread is now locked, because I'm tired of reading this horseshit. Have a nice day.
