I'm one of the producers and the director of the Bigfoot Pilot someone was kind enough to provide a link to. With all the frenzy surrounding Tom and the press conference I wanted to respond to your comment. I'll admit whole-heartedly that we're riding the wave of the publicity generated by Tom but we are in no way affiliated with him. We simply found him to be a fascinating individual and made a TV Show about him and his crew. We have not currently sold the show but because of recent events, people are taking serious notice. You have to hand it to Tom, whether you love him or hate him, believe him or don't, we're all paying attention.

For me, Biscardi was largely an unknown quantity. But Loren certainly can't claim that.

I agree completely. I am ticked off at Coleman. He posts his "this might be the real deal folks" spiel along with the first (that I saw) images of Bigfoot in the freezer, then shortly thereafter iirc adds in the costume pic, then the next morning announces he's skeptical. I was quite skeptical until Loren Coleman said it could be the real thing, who's to say this isn't how Bigfoot will be found, etc. Bah.

My biggest impression from the press conference was that the "Bigfoot Trackers" are playing the yokel card... we're just a couple hikers who stumbled over a body and were trying to figure out how to get rich, duh! Ignore our clumsy YouTube antics. And Biscardi, I hear there's a bidding war underway between Massengill and Summer's Eve for the right to use his image on their packaging.

LOL, well I totally misunderstood. I thought you pointing it out as a "consolation prize"...i.e., a good Bigfoot story to make up for a bad one I had endured.

I had already heard the Alien in the Bedroom excerpt, but it is still funny after all this time.

While I was inclined to let Todd have his say here, I understand the fact that stunts such as Friday's press conference won't help promote fair investigation of reports of strange creatures.

So, in that respect, I understand David's concerns and support his position fully.

Here's an example of how the situation affects the media: Fox News yesterday was providing live coverage. But as soon as the spokesperson waffled about showing any real evidence, they cut away in disgust.

That says it all. The next time someone comes across with a claim of this sort, even if 100% accurate with solid evidence, they will think twice about covering it.

My opinion? Close enough. The bigfoot forums which was down to non members last I checked, has already narrowed down modifications that could have occurred.

From my experience. If there's more evidence pointing to a hoax over no solid evidence that something is legit... you can take it to the bank it will be a hoax.
