This is glorious. People's reactions to the news are stunning. It's just like a paranormal event. Some of it I expected but I am absolutely gobsmacked at just how quickly the conspiracy mechanism lurched into high gear.

For the record, I do believe they really did get him, and that he really is dead. But then like so many other things facts won't matter, the actual event won't matter. Only peoples thoughts will have any relevance.

I'm sure the conspiracy theorists will be all over this. Despite reports that the DNA was confirmed, and that the burial was done within 24 hours in accordance with Muslim dictates, they will continue to say it didn't happen. But even the terrorists groups acknowledge it's real. End of story.

for some reason we need proof of birth certificates BUT we need no evidence of osama's death.

what i don't get is they killed him , took DNA samples then dumped the DNA source his body into the sea..... if i was chasing a terrorist for 10 years using billions of tax payers dollars i would create a museum so every human being on this planet can visit and spit on his corpse

If they produced a photo or video of the corpse would any of us be able to identify Bin Laden? Wouldn't there be many saying that such proof was a fake (how difficult can it be to fake such a thing?).

More important than the real physical death of Osama Bin Laden is the official proclamation of the death of "Bin Laden the terrorist's quasi-mythological leader" (the same way as "Saddam the Iraqi bloodthirsty dictator who produced weapons of mass destruction"). Soon new villains will be found anywhere in the world but, for now, this one has ended.

Until there is proof it was a muslim burial sanctioned by the pakistani government the most logical burial a navy seal team organised was capturing him alive making a non fatal knife wound to puncture one lung , tieing him up on the helicopter , bringing out 40 kilometres out to sea and dropping him naked into the ocean .
