They are VASTLY inferior in range, recharging (refueling) capacity, and if one out of 96 cells goes bad, your car won't work more than half charge. I know a man who had this happen to him. The garage said if it showed any sign of rodent damage, they would NOT put the car back together without a brand new battery he couldn't afford. He told them to put it back together as it was; rodent damage is easily simulated. A few droppings in a Tic Tac box, and they get to sell a new battery. When recharges are as fast and available as gas, EVs may prevail. It's not the legitimate business of government to declare them the winners.
