I'm writing a book entitled "UFO's and Psychological Dysfunction" and it's just stunning to me that so many people who lead functional, intelligent lives have become infected with such junk. During times of economic recession there's a tendency for the masses to turn to fantasy based diversions in order to distract them from their own personal failure and misery. This is a particularly prominent trait in the US, where rates of illiteracy, lack of education and cultural ignorance are the highest in the developed world. It's a breeding ground for conspiracy theories and mass delusion. It's becoming acceptable for people to publicly express their symptoms of mental confusion. It's fascinating.

2. Just because you don't like the invasion does not make it illegal. I don't particularly agree with it either, by the way, but illegal takes proof -- not there.

3. When many of the people that want to kill you and your troops are not actually in an army with uniforms, then yes they are civilians -- but they are combatants that want you dead and are firing at you.

The truth about the UFO field is that very few people make money from their research, writing or lecturing? It doesn't happen. Even if a few people in Roswell or elsewhere have a piece of the museum's income, I don't really think it's enough to make that much of a difference.

I realize that there is a concern over researchers putting out false information as a means to make money. It seems this has generated a bad stigma when it comes to researchers being paid for their hard work. That's too bad as it's likely part of the reason researchers don't make a decent living. How can we whine and complain about the state of media when rather than supporting independent media, good researchers and investigative journalism we immediately feel something is fishy if they seem to be making some decent cash? Personally, I feel obligated to support sources of news and research I deem credible and useful. It's your job as the person taking in the information to evaluate what of it is credible or not. With all the money floating into Roswell, some of the better researchers should be getting a cut in my opinion as it's their hard work that has made the public realize that despite what the military has said officially, something went on there. Why should all the flakes get to cash in while the people offering good information go hungry for the sake of an image of integrity. Let their work be the deciding factor rather than their image, for lack of a better term.
