Always a pleasure to hear Mr Redfern. Guest or co-host, much like Chris , Nick helps create an insightful, fact based show which is a perfect balance with Gene's professionalism. People forget radio hosting is a profession and a skill. paracast shows dont grate on my ears like some of the other radio (ex) amateurs who fumble, mumble and um and err their way through some BS.

People who troll around anonymously are generally angry types who are too afraid to show their faces for fear of ridicule and real honest debate. They prefer the safe coziness of anonymity which bolsters their insecurities and helps them feel all empowered and tough. Pretty lame, if you ask me...

Wow.....just......wow. How easily and quickly people forget the reasons why we're here..to discuss the paranormal and UFO's in all their aspects. Do we really have to degrade ourselves to personal attacks and cursing?

Echoing what so many others have here......this type of behavior above is simply pathetic. I do pray you get banned so we can move on to other, more pertinent things. :mad:

It does take a slightly outward personality to do a radio/podcast interview. I've been on one or two in the past......very small, local podcasts with literally 10's of people who listened...but it takes a bit of finesse. Like one of the guests said a few weeks back, "Stick a nickle in me and I'll talk all day..." is how I am so when i did my interviews I would strive not to ramble or dominate the program. Funny thing was, since they were ameture programs when I would stop talking after making my point there would be a long silence as the hosts struggled for their next question. Apparently they expected me to just keep rambling after all.

Nick could be a talker but he has a lot to say, admittedly, and he did well not to go to far as to bore me, personally, in the discussions before stopping. I agree that he was, as always, a great guest/cohost.

Sure, I know a lot of players in the field. I appreciate their dedication, but don't always agree w/ their POV. I don't roll over for anyone---even longtime friends I've invited on the show. Nobody get a free pass! I welcome any and all ideas, critiques, suggestions and reviews of my role on the Paracast. Gene's been at this radio thang for decades, I'm just an enthusiastic newbie that happens to read A LOT of books and I really work at acquiring the knowledge it takes to make informed, objective insights and opinions.

I'm not myself shy about saying what i think, and have no issue with replying to an insult with an insult.

But i draw the line at racist hate, thats not on.

It is frankly illogical to judge anyone on their genetic heritige, no one chooses their ancestors. Its blinkered and blind thinking to judge anyone on such criteria
 
Wow. I've been away from the computer lately due to some personal drama, doggie drama, more doggie drama, extreme doggie drama involving my having an accident with a door frame, which caused me to have a broken hand and my entire left arm in a splint. I see an orthopedic doctor tomorrow. Needless to say, it's mighty hard typing with only one hand. Hence the reason I haven't been checking my usual hangouts.

I somehow thought I wouldn't be missing much on this forum if I was gone for a bit, especially on this thread. Mea culpa.

Anyway, this is why it's good to check IP addresses, even with privacy statements. Trolls can completely derail a thread and even suck the life out of an entire site. Good, smart people quit posting when trolls run loose. There is clearly a repeat/return-offender in our midst who needs to be banned (again). While discussions and even heated debates can be enjoyable and possibly beneficial to the success of a site, bigotry is nothing more than the bastard child of evil combined with ignorance. It should never be tolerated.

Gene and Chris have both been admirable in how they have handled this. For the most part, they have kept themselves above the fray. I am also deeply saddened that Gene had to read what is doubtless one of many anti-Semitic slurs he has heard in his lifetime. I would never have expected that on this site. I'm sincerely grateful that so many people here have called out the troll and not allowed his hate to flourish. Very glad to be here.

I've explained to him that with being a Great Pyrenees comes great responsibilities but he's not buying it.

Seriously, if I truly was an Athenian owl coin, I'd have an easier time using my beak and talons to type than how I'm doing this with just the one hand. I'd also have an easier time than the Pyrenees would have with his giant paws and dew claws. Wish I could get him to type. He may not have meant to hurt me but I think he still owes me for this.
 
I wonder how many books and articles Nick Redfern was able to write during the incidents with the bigoted type in this thread?
 
Off-topic....I don't want to be a paranormal adept any more. Where do I go to change that, again? I see others have customized their sub-titles and I'd thought I had in the past, too, but now can't find it.
 
Funny thing. Whenever Nick Redfern (who I totally enjoy as a guest) is on the show I have problems with the audio frequently cutting out. So I stopped listening to his shows live and thought I'd solve the problem by downloading the broadcast later. Even doing that I have problems with the download, which frequently just stops dead so I have to reload and fast forward to where the audio stopped. Annoying. This never happens with other guests, just Nick. Curiouser and curiouser, I think.
