As far as the JFK assassination goes, have you guys ever heard of Carlos Hathcock? Carlos is the most decorated sniper in the world. His rifle is in the Marine Corps Museum.

Carlos was asked by the FBI to recreate the kill shot supposedly done by Oswald, Carlos said simply, it couldn't be done. PERIOD.

Oswald who barely passed basic marksmanship, would have been incapable of making 3 killing shots in the time allowed.

I used to shoot competitively, and know for a fact that to sight in a moving target with a bolt action rifle, especially the Mannlicher Carcano rifle, would be a feat of unbelievable skill. The idea that even the illustrious Carlos Hathcock couldn't pull off such a feat means that Oswald, who wore glasses, and barely qualified Marksman, WHICH IS THE LOWEST GRADE YOU CAN GET... is laughable at best.

Wow, are we still doing guest suggestions in this thread? If so what about Dennis Balthaser discussing his Pyramid research or Donna LeCroix discussing the World Wide Paranormal Reporting Center.

BTW JFK If you look at look at the bullet paths going from the wound to the point of origin without lining all the bodies up to make it work for the lone gun man theory. some of them point to the second floor corner office of the records building.

Yeah i second Rick Deckard for Greer, If it is going to be only for a crucifiction.

And Tommy Allison on JFK killing, Well Jim Fetzer have an interesting take on why the Carcano had been used in the first place, Personally i find it a sound reason... Try to check it out.

Have a nice day all

[already posted in another thread].... guys based on this:

Finally the Truth is Told About the Roswell Incident!

After 60 years, the speculation is over!

The last living survivor of the 1947 incident tells his, and his father's story.

The Roswell Legacy by Jesse Marcel, Jr.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To be Released Worldwide July 4, 2007

eAt the 60th Anniversary Roswell Festival in

Roswell, NM, July 5-8

[June 12, 2007, Helena, MT]...In 1986, on his death bed, retired Major Jesse Marcel told his son; "You must tell the world the truth about Roswell. When the military no longer has a hold over you and your family, please set the record straight!"

Major Jesse Marcel was the head of intelligence at an Army Air Field located at Roswell, New Mexico. On July 7, 1947 Major Marcel was sent to inspect what was being reported as the crash of an unidentified object on a ranch seventy-five miles northwest of the base. After inspecting the crash site, Marcel stopped by his home to show his family what he had discovered. Jesse Jr. was only eleven years old at the time, but vividly remembers his father's excitement, and seeing and handling a foil-like material that his father said was scattered around the wreckage. It was shiny and paper thin, but could not be torn or cut. It also retained a memory, mysteriously unfolding each time his father tried to fold it. And then there was that beam of metal several feet long, which was covered with hieroglyphic-type writing and markings. It was indeed something that was not of this world.

Upon return to his Air base, Major Marcel's superior officer, Col. William "Butch" Blanchard, ordered him to fly the material to Wright Patterson Air Base in Dayton, OH, first stopping in Fort Worth, TX to show the strange findings to Gen. Roger Ramey,,the head of the Eighth Air Force. When Ramey learned that Blanchard had issued a press release stating they had recovered a "flying disc," and that it was being flown to Wright-Pat, Ramey was livid, and immediately called a press conference. Marcel would be photographed (see photo right) holding remnants of a weather balloon, and was forced to tell the media that these were his only findings at Roswell. From that time on, and despite dozens of collaborating witnesses at the crash site, Major Marcel was forced to live with that lie the rest of his life.

His father's words haunted Jesse Jr. for nearly twenty years. As his retirement finally approached, while serving his tour of duty in Iraq in 2004, Jesse Jr. decided to put pen to paper. In a few short months the U.S. Military could no longer force he and his family to keep the secret any longer. He remembered how embarrassed his father was when he was forced to tell the world that the object he inspected was only a weather balloon. The famous photo of his father (see right), kneeling and holding the remnants of a weather balloon have been an injustice the Marcel family had endured for nearly sixty years.

Now with release of The Roswell Legacy, Jesse Sr. ill finally be vindicated and the world will learn the truth. With a forward written by the renowned Ufologist, Stanton Friedman, this book clears the air

"The world has waited a long time for the inside scoop on Roswell. Truth is an excellent curative for false proclamations. The Roswell crashed saucer retrieval is one of the most important UFO cases ever, anywhere. We need more information from those directly involved, and this book provides a good deal of important new material." --Stanton T. Friedman

... might it be time to revisit Jesse?

I don't think there is a need for Dr. Greer to come on again. I think most reasonable people see exactly where he is coming from if you know what I mean.

Why not try for Christopher Hitchens? Why? Well, here's an extract from his book God Is Not Great, Religion Poisins Everything -

(speaking from his time of being a Fleet Street journalist, chapter 10, The Tawdriness of the Miraculous and the Decline of Hell - and transcribed from an audiobook, so apologies for spelling and/or grammar)

"… and I have interviewed some of the hundreds of thousands of people who have claimed to have had direct encounters with space craft or the crew of space craft from another galaxy. Some of these are so vivid and detailed, and so comparable from other depositions from other people who cannot have compared notes, that a few impressionable academics have proposed that we grant them the presumption of truth. But here is the obvious Occamist reason why it would be utterly wrong to do so. If the huge number of contacts and abductees are telling even a particle of truth, then it follows that their alien friends are not attempting to keep own their existence a secret. Well, in that case why do they never stay still for anything more than a single shot photo, there has never been an uncut roll of film offered let alone a small piece of metal unavailable on Earth. Or a tiny sample of alien tissue. And sketches of the beings have a consistent anthropomorphic resemblance to those offered in science fiction comics. Since travel from Alpha Centuri – the preferred origin – would involve some bending of the laws of physics, even the smallest particle of matter would be of enormous use and would have a literally Earth-shattering effect. Instead of which, nothing. Nothing that is, except the growth of a huge new superstition based on a belief in occult texts and shards that are available only to a favoured few. Well I’ve seen that happen before. The only responsible decision is to suspend or withhold judgment until the votaries have come up with something that is not merely childish."

Obviously a skeptic, and he probably wouldn't want to talk to you guys, but imagine the possible conversation...

Gosh it seems it's darned if you do, darned if you don't. I know some of you guys want them to interrupt Stephen Greer and some other guests. Problem is, unless you are agreeing with Greer, host have to be ugly to interrupt him. Once interrupted and challenged he gets much worse, thats his tac, filibuster. Besides the guys are getting a bad wrap now, so they can't just attack everyone or they won't have any guests. I was curious about how some of the researchers were responding to the show, or if they had heard about it this past weekend at Roswell. The museum researchers were split, one groaned(but was not negative necessarily) when I mentioned them, another couple of the researchers were openly angered even mentioning them. I talked to four researchers at the museum and the only one that wasn't at least remotely negative was Jesse Marcel Jr.

So I took it over to Guy Malones conference at the Roswell convention center and most of those guys seemed much more receptive, Richard Dolan, Dennis Balthazar and Nick Redfern didn't seem to have a problem with them and Stephen Bassett didn't seem to know who they were. Hope you guys don't mind, it was just a curiosity since you are the most hard hitting paranormal show around. I know you are obviously already aware, but you are definately making some waves.

Point is over all the researchers seemed pretty split in their opinion of the show, but they elicit quite a negative response already from quite a few researchers. I hope you guys continue the way you've been going but I do understand when you allow some guys to just talk it out, it's usually not worth it to argue with them anyway. At least you generally follow up their diatribe with you're own opinion on what they were saying.

Any guest offended by questioning isn't a good guest to have on, unless it's to show what idiots they are. There's tons of paranormal shows with softball questions. I too hope the Paracast doesn't turn into one of them.

We won't -- not to worry!

Btw, my comment was meant as no criticism to you guys, somebody needs to call some of these guys on their assertions. I was just commenting on a comment someone made earlier about being disappointed about you not breaking in on Stephen Greer more. He, in particular, gets me upset because he's in such a great position to move the field forward, then does his best to discredits himself with his "call an alien down with a flashlight" idea, which I'm sure is trademarked. And his obvious grandstanding he always does when he starts feeling attacked. Sometimes he seems so sane and other times he makes Whitley Streiber seem normal(I digress and include all kinds of caveats about my opinion of Whitley Streiber, lol, he just jumped the shark a while back imho)

I am a reasonably skeptical individual. I enjoy The Paracast because it is the only--and I stress only--program which has intelligence, rationality and a very nice dose of good humor in a field which tends to be both gullible and humorless.

Some of the suggestions posted for guests are more inclined towards the countless conspiracy theories which abound NOT paranormal topics. With very few exceptions these myths have been refuted time after time by very reliable experts. They are little more than pseudo-political meanderings. I am making no secret that it is my belief that merging paranormal explorations with extreme political mythologies would be a disaster. If The Paracast starts lapsing into these topics, which are boring and silly, it will become just another Coast to Coast, pandering to fill the time with any nutty idea someone throws over the transom. David and Gene are doing a masterful job, and I hope they continue to choose their guests with the integrity and thoughtfulness they have so far.

@ Jersey John

"I enjoy The Paracast because it is the only--and I stress only--program which has intelligence, rationality and a very nice dose of good humor in a field which tends to be both gullible and humorless."

Well good for you, But i would suggest if you would surf a web a bit more to make an educated opinion. However to each his own... If this one here cuts it for you, Like i said good for you.

"Some of the suggestions posted for guests are more inclined towards the countless conspiracy theories which abound NOT paranormal topics. With very few exceptions"

I understand why you say so regarding the "conspiracy theories" tag and the hybrid tag as well...

"these myths have been refuted time after time by very reliable experts. They are little more than pseudo-political meanderings"

Oh really, And that is coming from a guy who rather talk about, listen and discuss The "paranormal", Jersey John what exactly do you mean by "paranormal" hmm... I mean is it something like "ghosts, hauntings and parapsychology" and please do not bring the UFO subject to the table claiming it to be in the paranormal box because you are quite correct on that "I am making no secret that it is my belief that merging paranormal explorations with extreme political mythologies would be a disaster." <-- Your own words

"If The Paracast starts lapsing into these topics, which are boring and silly"

I do find a bunch of people talking about ghosts, hauntings and parapsychology is exactly boring and silly the only one more thing that beats that in silliness is radio talkshow host spending two hours of their time interviewing someone that they know beforehand the charlatan, liar the & #?<* that he is and trying to represent that later as an intellectual debate of some sort oh and let's not forget the hard questions.

"it will become just another Coast to Coast, pandering to fill the time with any nutty idea someone throws over the transom"

You mean like some guest start talking about how he was sitting beside a driver whom his skin started to transform into a reptile like, Or watching a sphere that he alone can see till he tells others about it or maybe the guest with the so called alien abduction experience to all the other bs guests and subjects... And you call your self as reasonable skeptic?!

"I hope they continue to choose their guests with the integrity and thoughtfulness they have so far."

Somebody pull the trigger please, I do not want anymore of this... Oh wait i can always not to listen to this crap which i already did a long long time ago and as for the forums if it only wasn't for the neat stuff like Mogwa's This is fantastic thread and other extraneous neat stuff that are on the boards i would have not bothered with the forum but as for the show Jersey John which is a show by the way like any other show but seems people like you always have a problem getting that it is just another thematic show with few rare gems like the Kenneth F. Thomas interviews but what can i say to each his own

Anyway i was not here to post a reply to you, I was here today to say goodbye everyone and good luck with the Show.

I am no longer a Casual Paracast Listener, I am an ex Casual Paracast Listener.

As for my Suggested Guests list, It is no more important... i want no more of this, Work with Jersey John's list... I am sure he has a long list, because the world is full of them...

And keep paracasting, Jersey Johns are everywhere as well

Wow that was a blast, And please excuse my English...

EDIT: Just wanted to express my appreciation for the design of the main paracast website/forums and the philosophy behind it... It is clean, neat and simple to use, I wanted to Thank you as well for the free downloads.

See ya, Casual. I guess you're unhappy that you couldn't quietly and quickly get a groundswell of support for turning The Paracast into another of those conspiracy-kook-mind-dead-phony-science shows that proliferate, and whose target audience is the seriously disaffected and emotionally stifled. The Paracast fills a very special niche, in my case for truly skeptical minds on "paranormal" topics. The 9/11 conspiracy crap that a handful of crazies have been spewing for years has been refuted so many times by so many reputable experts that anyone still entertaining it clearly has a political agenda that has nothing whatsoever to do with the truth. And, as someone who saw the towers go down, in the company of an office of colleagues, and who lives in an area disproportionately impacted by the attack I can tell you that the efforts to transfer accountability from Islamic fanatics to our own government is not only repulsive but insane.

So if your price for staying is hijacking The Paracast into becoming just another of the "say anything with a free pass" shows that surround us, again I'll be the first to happily say "See ya, Casual!" If you win, I go, and there aren't many alternatives for someone like me; you can latch onto any of 50 fifth rate maniacal talk shows pandering to the conspiracy-of-the-month club members.

Wow, I hope not every new person gets bullied off the boards here by the likes of Jersey John and the narrow view of guests he only sees fit that the show have. Nice to see people being so welcoming.

Anyway, I'm a new listener and I would not like to hear these guys rationally debate some of these 9-11 truthers and interview Alex Jones. Talking about fillerbustering, holy crap this guy just spews. Greer has nothing on this guy. He's like a mash-up of a and Fox sports radio's JT the Brick. There is no talking to some of these guys like AJ. Jones can be entertaining and whatever good info he may present is almost whitewashed by his over-the-top wrestler delivery.

Someone like Jim Marrs would be excellent, but even Jim can get way out there when he starts drawing connections to the ancient astronauts and the Annonoki (sp?). So, to have a couple of rational interviewers do some casual, factual sparring would be nice to hear.

OK, here is the short list:

1) Craig Roberts: Former SWAT and Marine Sniper and expert in conspiracies. His book the Medusa File is required reading. He has extensive knowledge of military coverups over the years and is a JFK assasination researcher.

2) Jim Marrs

3) John Lear: Entertaining to listen to, but outlandish as hell sometimes. His background is spotless but he goes from believable to secret bases on Mars crazy in 0-60.

There's no shame in bringing up some extreme guests, especially because for you Coast 2 Coast haters, at least the Paracast will challenge them.

We have decided to stay away fom the 9.11 stuff, simply for the reason that it has nothing to do with the realm of the paranormal - it's politics, and we are not a political show. That said, anyone who listens certainly realizes that I'm somewhat vocal about my own political beliefs and stance, and it's bad enough that this sometimes seeps into the conversation. My political views would probably make for a good left-wing radio show, but all 14 people left in the US who would listen to such a show are simply not enough of an audience to serve.

As far as Lear, he's completely out to lunch, IMO, and is doing the field a disservice by taking the discussion to a ridiculous fringe. He's a sideshow clown, and not the kind of guest we're interested in speaking with on The Paracast.
