I didn't discover this paranormal abortion till this weekend.

The theatrics and rituals are insulting, but entertaining I have to say. I couldn't take my eyes of these chubby chums.

But I have to ask...what network, with legions of lawyers, are actually going to bury an obese guy alive, with no air supply, for even 1 minute? It was great TV, and a fantastic idea to have a small camera in the casket with him, but there's just no freakin' way they did it without some kind of safeguard. Something is going on behind the scenes in terms of production that is less than honest.

Watched an episode of Extreme Paranormal. I can honestly say I enjoyed it thoroughly...for all the wrong reasons. How can anyone watch that bullshit and not laugh? Man, don't try watching this show after some hash cookies or you'll literally die laughing.

I had to laugh at the show as well. These guys went in and started doing rituals and provoking and "mimicking" (sp?) conditions....what a load of utter bullshit. "Something just said something." Hopefully it was the voice of reason and it told you to get off the air.

The devices I used were for the printing/imaging industry. Highly precise film/plate equipment. It had nothing to do with the paranormal. The equipment required regular calibration. Several tools were used to gain an acceptable final calibration standard. The manufacturer of the devices and the tool give you a calibration point. None of this exists in the paranormal scene.

There's not a device out there that can predict the paranormal. Why were you spending so much money and wasting to much time regardless of precision or calibration in trying to detect the paranormal? I'm not sure why you're bothering since, regardess of any of this equipment was on the paranormal "scene" it wouldn't work anyway.

A baseline reading is virtually useless if the device you are using is not calibrated. I have seen people make claims of reading that were "not there" earlier in the day. This means nothing. It could be anything. Load on a grid, environmental factors or even the device itself because it's poorly manufactured or simply not calibrated..

The EMF detectors we use are contractor-grade. They're used by contractors to measure bleed from electrical equipment and track magnetic fields generated by such. This is their intended purpose and this is the purpose we use them for. I can't speak for other ghost hunters but we purchased ours straight from the source, and spared no expense. We don't use our Gauss meters to "find ghosts", we use them to measure the ambient environment (again, what they were intended for). No calibration is necessary, ever, on these devices. If it were, it would render them useless to the skilled tradesmen (electricians) using them. Based on that, control factors put in place during standard investigations are valid (especially if measurement is taken twice during base-line readings as we do it). Variations from this baseline reading are, indeed, then valid. My only regret is the fact that my team cannot afford to data-log, then perform analysis on the readings in comparison with the baselines.

Anyway, in this regard, for all the time money and effort you put in to your "professional" devices in trying to find evidence of the paranormal, you could have saved yourself quite a bit of each in buying a $200 unit off-the-shelf and using it only to monitor the environment.

Clearly you mis-understood our utilization of the devices. I hope I've clarified such.

These devices never need calibrating? Eh, yes, they do. The companies who hire out this sort of equipment must calibrate them before they leave their building. The person hiring the equipment, from various professional backgrounds, indicate what they're being used for and the devices are then calibrated/recalibrated. To claim these devices never need calibrating is a fallacy. Everyone I met that used an industry standard 360 degree EMF meter has it calibrated for them on a regular basis. Everyone. A quick google search of EMF calibration will reveal many companies that specialise in maintenance of equipment. Ask them if calibration is necessary. Then tell them what you're using it for and wait for the disconnection tone. Dude, even my drum scanner requires calibration every time I use it and that calibration depends highly on many variables.

Oh and that's another thing. A 360 degree EMF is the only EMF device that gives a constant reading regardless of it's operating angle. All the other will give false readings if they're not held correctly. So I guess that's another thing the paranormal crowd never bother to understand.

Huh? I haven't spent a cent on "paranormal" devices. They're useless. I don't spend money on useless gadgets that have no place in a "paranormal" environment. I consider all "devices" in the paranormal scene useless. The paranormal scene runs rife with bad science.

Actually they are shown on the intro credits to be masters of some big time radio show, sat behind a big sound desk, but thats not true, they do there podcast over skype from their homes, so I have read..

The TV show was axed after only 3 episodes and I think there online cred is pretty much gone now,. they have become a laughing stock of the paranormal..
