More to the point Trump had palled up to The Clintons many times, I've seen the pictures. Why shouldn't I think that Donald isn't involved in such a situatuon ? Did anybody check the emails for any code words like "Little Hands" maybe its referring to Donald. ;)

No, at the time they were searching for “yuge” hands, so their investigation really didn’t go that far.

Urban Dictionary has a few definitions for the term "libtard" which is considered derogatory. I do not call people names if I can help it and I am not calling anyone here this name but the definitions seem to fit a few here within this political thread. I only wish there was a politically correct term that many here would not be offended by that would have the same definition. Maybe "Hardlib" or something similar.

- throws out an insult that includes mentally challenged people
- claims not to use them and that he's not calling anyone here that
- then says that some here are actually that

Logic fail + poorly veiled insults = delusions of grandeur.

Listen, when the loudmouth in the toupee loses, will you people stop?

Instead of all the useless arguing that won't change a single thing, let's do the only thing left about this abomination of an election campaign that's amusing - Predictions!

Mine is Clinton by a comfortable margin. :)

But in case I'm wrong, I've already written the Prime Minister telling him I support building a wall on our southern border. America will, of course, pay for it... and it will be bigly great! ;)

Walter, I was looking over your credentials, and for some odd reason they don’t seem to chime in with respect to the brightest minds currently considering US-Russia relations, including Trump’s temperament and the nuclear biscuit.
No matter anyone's background - especially claims in attempts to one-up all discussion - has to be a red flag. Whenever I start to hear bluster, I know something is up. What said must be judged on the merits/quality of the ideas and supplied facts.

Vegas agrees with you. As do the UK betting houses.

What do you know? There I am with Brig Gen Francis X Taylor, then AFOSI Commander.

Golly! Here I am in Kabul, Afghanistan :)
Gee, I once shook hands with Bill Gates and Shai Agassi.

I must be a tech genius and a billionaire.

Well, now I'm worried! ;)

In all seriousness, there could be a hidden Trump vote, which combined with reduced turnout by Dems is his only hope, and what they are praying for, but I don't see any indication that is the case. Any comparisons to the Brexit vote, which Trumpsters like to make, are baseless. Apples and oranges.

My prediction is that the election will end up as a stalemate in winding through the courts for several years whilst liberals & conservatives alike engage in open warfare in cities throughout the US. Meanwhile, sneaky Russia will have positioned itself in Cuba with a nuclear striking capability of pixelsmith’s home.

Why Men Fear a Female President - Nov 04, 2016

"Chants of 'Lock her up!' (and worse) have been well-documented during the 2016 election, and misogynistic comments that have accompanied Hillary Clinton’s candidacy are not likely to abate anytime soon. Adapted from Peter Beinart’s article, 'Fear of a Female President' this short video explains the theories behind a troubling trend. Could it be because men fundamentally fear a female president? There are ingrained and documented negative responses to women in power that suggest reactions to Clinton’s presidency are directly tied to men’s fear of emasculation."

Hillary, Donald, and Womanhood - Nov 03, 2016 | 26 videos

"Conversation around gender has been at the forefront of the 2016 election. In the midst of the sometimes hostile dialogue, two separate views of a woman’s role in society have emerged. The Atlantic traveled to women’s rallies for both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton to poll supporters about their views on feminism and womanhood, in their own words."

Along that lines I posted in the previous thread...before Gene cut it adrift...that I'm quite taken by your current foreign trade minister. I read her book on Plutocrats and have been aware of her since her journalist days and frequent appearances on a political debate show. I thought she kept a very central pragmatic approach to many things. What is your opinion of her and do you think her semi emotional breakdown on the failed trade talks between Canada and the EU was political theater?

There is a odd contradiction taking place - a man being strong, ambitious, and military minded - is a good thing. Whereas a woman - like Hillary - evincing the same (strength, ambition, and military acumen), and she is 'scary', doesn't have the 'temperament' (code-word) or 'stamina" (code-word).

While I may not agree with Hillary's military policies (same with Obama), I am more confident of her acting with restraint and with a global consciousness - with the intelligence to be able to learn from the past, with flexibility of mind - than I am with Trump, who actually is the quintessence of the weakly emotional, volatile ('blood coming out of her'), weak minded (flip flopping based on the time of day, not just day), female stereotype. Curious.

This election is about life-style, culture, religion/philosophy - not issues, insofar as the former could not be argued, they just are. Ideas one can argue. Policies one can argue. One cannot argue identity - I am a 'man' only if you act like a 'woman' - or lifestyle beliefs - You must not be ambitious in my work sphere, or speak when I speak.

In so many ways I see what Trump represents - or is calling forth in the US - as the US equivalent of ISIS. Trumpism is not a minor matter. We will indeed be dealing with it for a long time to come, as is the world dealing with the same phenomenon from out of the Middle East.

Paul, I do think Clinton will win, but it will be closer than many think. If you win Cal., NY, Illinois, Pennsylvania etc. you are well on the way to victory.

What I really wonder is... will all the anti-Clinton torch throwers be rounded up and put in camps?

Finally Paul jumps in! :)

Another curious comment that is often made about Clinton - I am thinking of one particular conservative commentator - is that Clinton is not 'warm' enough, she is not 'emotionally connecting' to the audience. Yet a female politician can be dinged for an 'emotional breakdown'.

Emotionality is a curious two-edged sword. When is it acceptable? Not acceptable for Senator Muskie, obviously, when he 'broke-down' over his wife being attacked. Not acceptable for Gov Howard Dean. Strange shifting standard.
