Rygywa makes an excellent point. I am emotionally calm concerning this because I am not getting attacked. Robert Hastings is getting attacked simply for sharing his research with us here. He is perfectly entitled to quote and share what others have told him. Also I think that Robert Hastings admits where he's being speculative (concerning what the intelligence may be behind the craft that hover over nuke bases). While he has more confidence in the speculative part of his work than I do he is nevertheless entitled to speculate having spoken to 130 people (many of which have great responsibility) concerning what he thinks this intelligence is. I do not see what he is doing wrong. If someone wants to oppose him then they should do so on IDEAS. e.g. the WHAT ARE THEY? question. i.e., what are the unknown intelligently controlled craft that are seen hovering over these sites? Elsewhere on this site I posted a hypothetical debate between a Hastings and Cook supporter (See UFO THEORIES) and while no one can prove their ideas for 100% certain I found the responses to my post thoughtful and civilized. They tended to side with Robert Hastings on IDEAS but they didnt attack Nick Cook PERSONALLY.

I'm all for civil debate - this seems like two men calling each other names. Also, neither men are innocent of insulting people.
 
If the UFO activity is designed to demonstrate our complete impotence in the face of their technology so that we will not resist or interfere with them then what in the hell are they actually doing? The "quarantine hypothesis" fails for me on that basic point. Why would they feel any reason to be concerned with us whatsoever if they are not involved in something very specific to the Earth itself? Spending time and effort to demonstrate to shaved apes that they can't hurt you only makes sense if you are playing in the ape's backyard. We certainly are in no position to threaten anyone on some other planet, even if that planet were in our own solar system. The notion of nuclear weapons being a threat that has to be hedged against by quarantining a planet already isolated by its inability to mount a effort to colonize its own moon seems really unnecessary.

It seems to me if any of this is true then they want something and are taking it. What is that something? Like I've said elsewhere, maybe I'm just being naive but it seems to me to be something that the world's military would not ignore, cover-up, or obfuscate. They would be screaming, "We need more money!" "We have a damn interstellar war on!" "Unite and fight the alien invader!" and so forth and so on.

That may be futile now. Maybe in another 20-50 years, if/when they can actually do something about it, with improved technology. To publicize a threat when they're still practically helpless would only cause panic.
