this guy for real or a bot or a troll?

Yeah, a mate chucked it onto my external drive amongst a pile of other movies. I'd never heard of it but once I got round to watching, it was a treat and quite unexpected. I found the actors playing the film crew and the hunter himself quite believable, precisely in their parts. The actual tone of the hunter's attitude and the surprise of the crew to the truth I really liked to.

And then there were the actual Trolls! I absolutely loved them, as much as any movie monster I've ever seen. The cool bit of having different 'breeds' of them and them infected with rabies - was pure class. I swear, I can almost imagine they exist now.
And the trolls farting, almost killing them with gas, providing a really light scene just prior to the very darkest scene - it really was just great. In fact, within a couple of weeks of watching it once, I put it back on, ostensibly to view the trolls, but ended up watching the entire second half again! From me, that is indeed high praise!

Another movie I saw recently was the horror based on a game, Silent Hill. Reviews were mixed at best but I really like the film. I could totally overlook it being a bit long and having a convoluted plot, by the sheer excellence of the visual effects and overall look. The changes from standard to the 'hell' were great and really reminded me of some kinda unpleasant trips when I was back in bad watching the patterns with eyes closed. And talking about that - it's made me think of how good Terry Gilliam's work in Fear and Loathing' was - he claimed never to have taken LSD but his imaginations of how it could be visually were pretty darn good.

Well! That was just one of those posts that got much longer than initially intended but that's ok. Any good recommend's yourself?

Hmmm....loud house shaking boom. Two trees snapped off midway(?) up the trunks.
Weren't there trees similarly damaged during the Kecksburg, PA event in '65?
Back in 1985 at Ft.Gordon, GA I saw a lightning bolt strike about a mile away out of a clear blue sky. Amazed me and my platoon. That could be it maybe, but I've never heard of two trees being damaged at the same time by lightning.
Magic ponies, unycorns and trolls aside, I wonder what could have happened?
